the thing with the fist pump is this
i think fist pumping field goals sent the wrong message to the team
like coach sparano is happy with the fieldgoal so lets not risk turning it over with a big play..
It is the safest football you could play it is part of the reason henne was a robot
they preach to him just throw it away we can still kick the field-goal..
 
This is pro football, not pop warner! You don't settle for mediocrity(3), you achieve perfection(7). Enough said! Play to win!

Fist pump is lame. I despise celebrating another offensive failure. The day it stops cannot come soon enough.
 
I think he's aware of it, but he probably doesn't care. Unfortunately, fist pumping over 3 points seems to be a part of his DNA.
 
I don't think he cares. This is a "what have you done for me lately" business. Put up points or you're out, you'd better believe every time I scored any point I'd be doing F'ing cartwheels.

As for the question posed in the OP, of course Sparano knows about it. Its all over the place by now. Fans even yell fist pump at practice like the other day. He is aware. And I imagine it bothers him. If he was so upset about the boos the other day, you know it gets to him. I look for him to conciously attempt to cut down on the fist pumps. But, I also imagine its his nature to get emotionally charged up and he will still do it on FGs, just not as often perhaps.
 
I'm a total fist pump fanboy. Dude can get ya fired up. Hope he does more TD related fist pumps in 2011.
 
he'll save it for game winning field goals or maybe even the 45+ distance kind. but after every fg? I bet that doesn't happen anymore.
 
I think I'm one of the few on this site that likes Sparano's enthusiasm and yes, that includes the fist pumps. There's no way he'd stop doing that b/c some goon fans thought what he was doing was dumb.
 
When you recover a fumble inside the opponent's 20 yard line and then settle for a FG that is not a fist pump situation. That's a set yourself on fire situation and figure out how to fix your incompetent offense. That happened twice at the start of the Pitt game, and MIA went up a whopping 6-0 and he is fist pumping.
 
From booing your team at a practice to complaining about a coaches fist pump, you wonder why the media never has anything positive to say about the fins? The media plays right into alot of fans negativity. I remember watching games and just rooting for my team. Maybe more free agents would come here if their fan base wouldnt turn on them at a drop of a hat
