The Offensive Line. If they play well i think playoffs. If not, well.:ninja:

Our season hinges on Ronnie Brown and our D-Fence, as long as we don't just hand over the ball we could win with Liewinski at Left tackle....

I disagree. Name a playoff team in the NFL with a crapp o-line.

Our secondary.

Normally I'd say that our pass rush and run defense is so good that our secondary isn't going to be an issue. But it seem like at times we would give up huge plays at KEY situations and it was long passing plays. I recall plays to Andre Johnson, Laverneous Coles and Lee Evans more specifically that burnt us big time.

But I do agree with the notion of this thread. Ronnie Brown, Trent Green and Chris Chambers will all succeed if the line does. If they get pushed around, allow sacks and fail to open running lanes, Green will be on his back or turning the ball over, Ronnie will get swallowed up in the backfield, and Chambers won't have time to develop routes.

Simple, if our o-line plays well, playoffs, if not, 6-10 again.

Team sport, the whole team has to play better. If the team plays as good as several of the defensive unit we will have a great year.

Bengals in 05, Dallas last year, the Bears line was not exactly stellar...
O but let's take in to consideration what division they're playing in. I think if the Dolphins where in the NFC North, then we would have been in the playoffs.

I disagree. Think Gus. The o-line we have now has more talent than when Gus played. Green is a very smart veteran similar to Gus except that he is a much better QB. With Green in there we will have a fine running game and the 0-line will not have to sustain their blocks for more than a maybe 3 seconds. Green has a quick delivery, an accurate football and makes decisons fast. The key is that he'll get you out of a bad play lightening fast by throwing the ball away or whatever. If they blitz too much Trent will make them pay with touchdown passes over the top to Ginn, Chambers or whoever. That will put a stop to overloading the box. Remember how bad the offense was last year, it will be a blast to see a different and much more talented group of players.

and more specific veron carey

Nah, he is right in saying the "whole" offensive line . . . if Vernon is successful and the rest of the OLine stinks, then we still have a crappy OLine . . . the whole unit needs to gel and play well together . . . it doesn't depend on one person.
