The whole team stunk today, but let's blame Tannehill thread:

Sorry, the D put us in position to take the lead and Tannehill and co. continue to miss plays on the field. There's only so long you can make excuses for the kid.

I thought he turned the corner in the 2nd Pats game last year, but he's been mediocre ever since.

I love watching this board melt down over Tannehill and fail to understand how bad the rest of the team is. Thread was worthwhile for sure.

Everything flows from the QB. If we had a QB that could lead the offense to points, there wouldn't be so much pressure on the defense.

I started a thread last earlier in the week about our horrible first half point totals over the last 10 games. Make it 11 games after another 3-point effort today. Tannehill blows and this coaching staff blows as well.

Perfect example. Only our moron for a qb wastes 20 seconds off the clock rather than taking a timeout and then in addition tries to run it in instead of throwing it away and giving the team another opportunity. Classic tannehill. He's not a smart qb.

Tannehill has proved not to be a game changer, he comes up small a majority of the time when a QB has to come up big. He has an above average WR corp and OL. The excuses are no more.

Exactly. Nothing good could come out of running there. Instead of throwing the ball away and stopping the clock, idiot ran the ball. He is a joke.

As a Tannehill supporter for two years plus two games I can say, Tannehill ****ing sucks

Tannehill is a bottom 10 QB in this league. The receivers are average and very overrated. Clay is either hurt, has regressed, or just not in Lazor's game plans this year. Lamar Miller played well today but he's still just too inconsistent. The offensive line is not good. Albert is good but he's making a lot of money and still gets schooled at times. James is taking his lumps as a rookie. We can easily see why the Colts had no interest in resigning Satele . While the guards are just plain awful.

As for the defense. Wake plays great in spots and then disappears for long periods of times as does the rest of the defensive line. The Linebackers are at best special teams players that have no business starting. Delmas is hit or miss, Jimmy Wilson is terrible, and Michael Thomas is another guy who should be playing special teams only. Grimes is good but not as good as last season. Finnegan is so so. Davis still has a long ways to go and Taylor hasn't shown much. These guys made Joe McKnight and Knile Davis look like superstars today. They made Alex Smith look like Joe Montana.

Anyone who tells me they would take the Colts roster minus the QB over what we have is ****ing clueless.

The Colts roster SUCKS. And yet they WIN GAMES. And yea they are 1-2 right now. Whatever. They will roll up plenty of wins this year.

We will continue to suck so long as our QB is complete garbage. He does not threaten the field and scares no defense. He handcuffs our offense and puts our defense in spots to fail. Simple as that. A decent QB wins plenty of games with this team.

Tannehill has rarely played well in 3 years... your turn...retort?

Answer this...why does he appear to be worse this year? Why does the whole offense suck so much worse? We still have the same qb, same players on offense....the only difference is the OC. Lazor has not shown anything this year that shows he's an upgrade over Sherman. I don't like blaming the OC and I'm not saying Tannehill is playing good but if you look at the playcalling it is not good at all. He's not creating mismatches, everything is ran outta shotgun...the playcalling has been bad and I think the new system is playing a major part in the offenses problems. Either way the players aren't doing a good job of executing his ****ty plays.

Actually there was plenty of chances and Thill stunk! All you Thill homers have a choice. Either the team sucks? Or Thill sucks?

People and those analysts that clearly don't watch our games, will point to the sacks today as they did last season, to tell us that Tanny isn't being given a chance. But if you look at them closely, this season and last, you'll see that a lot of them are on his inability to feel the pressure and take the preventative measures, his lack of pocket awareness is probably the single biggest thing holding him back. I don't think he'll ever get it. Rarely do you see a defensive player not finish a sack or pressure his throw or bat it down, when they get close to him. The good QBs create more time in the pocket.

Hard for the d when the offense does nothing unless defense gets them a short field after turnover

Absolutely D was on the field way too long today, way too long.

I can't believe Tannehill gave up five touchdowns today. He let Knile Davis run for over 100 yards.

THe Defense was dominating this game, but after the 50th 3 and out of the season, they get worn out. You can't run full speed all day as a defense, and Yes, Tannehill is to blame for the loss, he does not inspire his team mates, he does not inspire anyone except the opposing teams. Oakland will break it's losing streak next week also, if Tannehill is the qb. After seeing the offense in week one, I have expected for us to lose the last two games, I expect us to lose every game from now on that Tannehill is the starting qb. I'm sorry, I expect him to have a good game every 5th game, so blind people like you can say "see I told you so, Tannehill is the next marino". Give us a break man, he sucks.
