The Word out of New Orleans on Brees is that he has been throwing for 5 weeks.

And Brees is throwing five times a week. Three of those are days in which he throws with high intensity. Specifically, he says the distance in which he can throw a football is increasing. “Gradually, I work my way back from 10 yards to 15 yards to 20 yards. I’m kind of maxed out at 25 yards right now. Maybe next week, we’ll kick it up to 30. I’m just listening to my body to see how I feel, see how my arm feels. We’re still way ahead of schedule, so there’s no use in really trying to rush it.â€Â

This comes from Brees Himself on a radio interview on 870 NOW-ish...

Personally I wish him well, but I am glad the Fins didn't plave the Teams future on shoulder. I don't think it will hold up.

I also wish him well and hope his body eventually lets him air it out....

Man, that line from him saying he can only throw 25 yards right now scares the crap out of me.

I'm so glad we took Daunte instead of Brees. I like Drew Brees a lot. But man that shoulder is scary.

Remember the SportsCenter segment where Daunte dropped back and planted on his right knee? I guarantee you he threw that ball further than 25 yards.

Exactly, I'll be the first to admit I wanted Brees, badly. But after reading and trusting our coach I'm glad we took Daunte. The wrong choice could have ruined a franchise so we went with the safer bet.

he wont have to throw it very far with Bush there, just tose him the ball and let him score

Thats good to hear, good luck to him and the Saints, they are all New Orleans has right now.

25 yards? Man I hope he can pick this up. I had rotator surgery on my throwing shoulder in March, 2005 and I still can't throw it deep. :boohoo:

With Brees being like he is now, but on the Dolphins instead...can you imagine the controversy in Miami if we still traded for Harrington to back him up?

Agreed....I wish the guy alot of luck and hopes he comes back 100%

He says he is "kind of" maxed out at 25 yards. That sounds like to me he really can't throw it that far yet.

I wonder how accurate his throws are right now.

Hopefully he can get it together and help bring the Saints some glory.

I can throw the ball farther than Drew Brees, a Pro Bowl QB.

WOOOOOOOOOT:D
