I am often caught thinking, "are we there worst fans for an NFL team?" How many other teams can you imagine being upset after obtaining someone who is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL (for a portion of his value at that). How many teams can you imagine fighting over which one of the top 5 outside linebackers they are going to sign (Arrington vs. Peterson). How many teams have consistant winning seasons, but still leave the seats empty. I love the Miami Dolphins and the fans, but are we too harsh? Quite often the complaints made by the fans are absolutely outrageous, like no-one could be pleased.

Does anyone else ever get this feeling, or am I insane?

Every team is not going to have 100% backing from fans on all personell decisions, and I think for the most part alot of fans are pleased with the progress thus far. Its more a matter of a difference of opinion than anything else, no true Dolfan is going to jump ship because we picked up a guy they dont like or dont approve of.

It is pretty bad, I think ALL other fans would be jumpin up and down after gettin Culpep, and only about 3/4 of ours are a little excited, maybe it's over the injury, that worries me a little.

I think there is some skeptisism because of the injury but there is still very good reason to be excited here.

The big mistake a lot of you guys with these "were the worst fans in the league" posts make is when you associate the posts of a dozen posters onto the viewpoint of the whole entire fan base.

Not to mention the fact that by calling Dolphin fans the worst in the league, you being a Dolphin fan are calling yourself a loser fan.

Every team has fans that are bandwagon, fans that are clueless, etc.

For example...
One Viking fan that was on here posted that many wanted Gus Frerrote to start over Daunte Culpepper while they were both in Minnesota.

I think some fans just honestly believe they're smarter than, and can do a better job at managing NFL personnel than the Dolphins FO and coaching staff can. Sounds outraguoes, I know, but I really think it's true. Then what happens is the players that our finheaven out of work NFL GM's would choose doing well, and the players they didn't want not succeeding, becomes more important to them then even winning. To some fans being able to say, "I TOLD YOU SO", is the biggest win of all.

No its not just you but........to answer your other question ... NO! We have the best Fans in the league for the most part but unfortunatly every team has those Bad apples....it jus seems like there are more than usual lately. But i refuse to allow those few(sometime more than a few) to ruin what i believe to be the NFL's best fans when you look at our true fans we are definatly at the top IMO! Our fans that are true and loyal are to be commended for all we've been through over the years ....especially not to long ago and those are the fans who know...not just think that this team is headed back to the glory days when we are where we rightfully belong .... a top the NFL's elite teams.

DOLPINS RULE :)

I love what they are doing right now. I dont care who they bring in as long as they are aggressive and bring in a few proven players. Culpepper was definitely the right choice, Ive never been all that impressed with Brees. I agree with you too phinsfan. We have been through alot lately. I had nightmares not only about Marinos last game but about the last 4 minutes against the patriots in 02. Oh yeah and the game before when that one guy that quarterbacked the Vikings ran for a first on 4th and like 2 to keep their drive alive. Hope he does that for us.

DOH!

I think in terms of loyalty to a team we are one of the most loyal fanbases in pro sports. Probably Green Bay and Oakland are arguably the most loyal but I think we are right up there. There have been some grumblings but don't take that stuff too seriously. Just feel fortunate that the Dolphins are in such a large football town like Miami with a fanbase as large as it is. You could be a New Orleans or Cleveland who may never see the big show. I remember when I was a kid and the Dolphins went to two Super Bowls in only a few years. We'll be fine just don't be so down on people grumbling cause its part of the game. People's attitudes will shift when the W's start pilling up.

I have to admit I was Pro-Drew Brees, but now that I see the big picture, Culpepper is the man. I can't wait to see him in aqua and orange.

By the way the Stealer Fans are the worst.
