I will be the first to tell that I was really wanting Mr. Brees as our QB. However the more and more I think about this the more I think Saban made the RIGHT call.

The fact that the offense will be a natural fit for Daunte Culpepper, is a huge plus. We will not have to wait till week 9 to get things rolling. He is surrounded by some good WR (Probowl), Outstanding RB's, improved Offsensive line. We will truely be a multi-threat offense. No longer will we see defenses playing the run and daring us to throw. We will have balance in the force.

If you really think about it, would you really want a QB that has had surgery on his throwing shoulder. I would much rather take Daunte Culpepper because of what he brings to the game, he can run, throw the deep ball, dont forget he is a probowl QB and we get him for a 2nd ROUND pick, THAT IS A STEAL..

Also something I have not seen on the board he is use to playing in Green Bay, and Chicago in winter and a big, loud, aggressive crowd.

I am REALLY excited about this up coming season, and have TOTAL faith in Saban and what he has done for this team, for the oganization, and its fans.

I too wanted Brees and when i saw we had traded for Culpepper i was upset. Then within seconds i became so sure that Culpepper was the right choice and became so excited that September now seems like a lifetime away.

I mean he may be two years older than Brees but he hasnt any arm troubles and WILL heal. Brees may not. Culpepper is cheaper and better and well the list is endless. In fact ive no idea why i wanted Brees over Culpepper!

But, is it just me or has it not sunk in yet that we have DANTE CULPEPPER! :D
