Theo RETURNS!!

I'm still trying to figure out why the hell he left in the first place? Despite all the reports to the contrary, I have to believe Lucchino played a critical factor in his decision to leave the organization.

Anyway, it's good to have him back in the fold. Now go find us a Centerfielder and Shortstop.

100% agree with everything you said. I doubt we'll ever know why he left in the first place. He had a dream job and was going to be paid top dollar for his position.

Anyway although Theo had a bad offseason with signing of Renteria and Clement to long term deals for big money, he also made a lot of good decisions (if he even was the brains behind them) and led the Sox to a championship. Not to mention he made a lot of good draft picks since he's been here. I'm glad he's back for that reason.

NOW go out and find us a lead off hitter and CFer. SS in my opinion comes 3rd in the list.

Ugh, now I'm going to be subjected to Boy Wonder every day on ATH, PTI, and SportsCenter till August.

Hopefully he stops us from getting rid of Marte...

HOWEVER... I'm not sold on him being boy wonder. I don't believe he is so great, but we'll see what he does with our needs. I personally like most of our off-season moves, things he had nothing to do with (and the thing he had most to do with, the **** signing of Renteria).

Might be too little too late. If Theo was around Damon doesn't leave and maybe some other stuff could have been pulled off.

I had a feeling that he would return, though I thought it would have been last month sometime.

The Red Sox were not giving Damon that kind of money, I don't care who's in the Front Office. And Damon wasn't going to stay here for a discount, once the Yankees offered that absurd contract, he was gone.

Too little, too late? HAHA, it's January. You wish..

I'm not sure that's a true statement, but who knows. The Sox told Damon 4 years for 11 mill was the max for Damon. Having Theo there wouldn't have matter because according to Gammons and maybe other writers Theo never left. He was behind the scenes throwing in his 2 cents with certain trades and FA signings.
