The Boy Wonder might return to the Red Sox as a "consultant".

Either he is the dumbest SOB that has ever walked the face of the earth or he is getting awful advice from people around him.
 
According to Gammons, Theo never really left the Red Sox and has had his hands in many of the deals done this off season like the Beckett deal and the recent Marte one.

If he makes the same kind of money it was a great move.. Doesn't have to be the face of the franchise and still gets to make the big decisions. Sounds like a win, win to me.
 
If I was Theo I would have taken the Dodgers GM job.....I never liked the Dodgers but they have a great organization and you got the sun and sand.....I would trade that over Boston anyday.

They HAD a great organization. Current ownership is a disaster. They will continue to muck things up until the owners take their hands off all operations.

Man I was about to post this almost verbatim when I read that. The Dodgers are in shambles and Billy just ROBBED them for Bradley.
 
Billy Mueller was an excellent pickup for them. Good vetran leadership, and he's an outstanding ball player. Very underrated defensively as well..

And Milton Bradley sucks. The guy is a nut job, and people talked about Carl Everett like he was crazy, and rightfully so, but he gives 100% every time he steps on the field.

Bradley is a headcase. Back in 2004 when LA made an appearence at Fenway for Sunday Night Baseball, the fans in center field got into it with Bradley. He was about to lose it from stupid little taunts. I wouldn't want that loose cannon anywhere near my team.

Who said that? I said it was a GOOD move. He's an excellent ballplayer, and a much better signing than giving Derek Lowe a boatload of money, or the injury prone JD Drew a huge contract.

You gotta start somewhere, maybe they have finally smartened up. And they did get rid of that nut job Milton Bradley, another good move.
 
How did Theo become the GM of the Red Sox at the age of 28? :confused:

He must have had some compromising pictures of the Red Sox owner. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
