Lets say we had a choice; we could go 10-6 this year and miss the playoffs via tiebreaker, or we could go 6-10 and sweep all of our divisional oponents...

I would rather see us sweep our division oponents. I hate all three of those teams and a win against any of them is worth an entire season as far as I am concerned

Yeah but at least with 10-6 there's a good chance we had a winning record within the division. :)

Quite frankly I am suprised, you seem like the kind of dude that would pick the latter option.

I figure if we won 10 that means we won several division games and probably finished ahead of the Jets and Buffalo. I can live with that.

Ah, I forgot to mention that the six games we lost would be divisional games. No wonder, I would have taken 10-6 as well.

I would take the 6-10, if the 6 included a sweep of the Jets and a win vs the Raiders. Those are the only two teams that we play this year that we have a losing record against. I don't know why that is important to me but there are only like 4 teams that we need to catch. The Raiders are the only one with a big lead, the rest are within one or two games. I think it would be really cool to have a winning record vs every team in the league. Right now I think the Raiders hold that distinction.

We HAVE to beat the Panthers.

Now that you bring it up, this is very true. The Panthers in 2003 were almost identical to us in everything but coaching. Two differant teams now but the it would still be a big moral victory. Also for me because my sister-in-law is the biggest Panthers fan alive, she was actualy involved in making the Panthers an expansion franchise.

LOL. I'm with you. Too many Panthers fans (including my Wife) for us to lose. We'll have to live it until we play them again.

10-6 only because if we lose in the division, at least we lost to worthy opponents (although ill-mannered sloths) yet if we lose all our out of division teams, we would have been bound to lose to some awful teams (or at least teams well off par).
