Not drafting a QB in the first round just means Ireland has no current plan for our future QB situation and that is disturbing to me.
I actually feel a bit for Ireland. If they (including coaches) decided that Flynn & Tannehill were not going to cut it *and* they turn out to be correct - then what else could they do?? Peyton didn't want to come here. What other sure-fire thing did they fail to get this year or last year? One could argue trade 3-4 1st picks for RG3 and many would still argue against it.
32 teams want an elite QB. Only 5-10 have them. That's a lot of teams interested in the top few QB's every year. So, reach on a possible one (and get blasted when it's the next Henne) or pass & get blasted for doing nothing?
