You know I really get tickled at some of you jokers and then i get pissed at some for using conservative measures in bringing in players.

Yes I am on the middle ground on alot of things, but i dont see the need in being on one extream or the other. Why cant we have some middle ground on some of these issues.?

I know I am guilty of wanting miami to be more talked about in the media and other fanbases , consequently popularity isnt as important as winning and building for the long term . the thing i have thought about is why are a lot of people sold on being on one extrem of the rebuilding or the other?

I dont beleive i want to aproach things like Dallas did but I would like for miami to take a middle ground aproach and maybe sing 4 f/a players and then draft the rest .

one example is why cant we trade for a wr or cb and then draft all dlinemen and next year tackle the linebacker position.

example 2 why cant we fix the offense first and then next year fix the defense ?

I feel that some of you guys are overconfident in the trifecta but i am not entirely opossed as I have led you to beleive.

it really isnt a sin to add real talent if we dont overspend and there is no reason why we cant fix each unit at a time instead of trying to fix every unit at once. these are things that i am concered with and want to know more about rebuilding .

I don't think you can just focus on one thing at a time. You kind of have to build up everything together and it all depends on what's available. Teams should be a constant work-in-progress...even after winning the SuperBowl.

imo, things are fairly balanced. they have aquired talent through a few trades, spent large in free agency all while focusing on building through the draft.

after a 1 and 15 season you just bring in all the young talent you can get regarless of position....we could be in for a surprise on draft day this year....mlost people seem to think we'll take an OLB, a corner and a WR with our top 3 picks but they might or they might not....the big 3 will take the best player on the board(maybe not RB or QB in the first day)but everything goes on draft day....Bill's not gonna take the 32nd best player on the board at 25 and he's not going to take the 51st player on the board at 44 either.....he's going to draft the best players that fit what the team is trying to do imo.In other words,don't be surprise to see us take a DE or a guard before we take an OLB or a corner.

Ozzy rules!!

Rebuild? WTF are you talking about? We won 11 games last year for christ sakes. We ARE ALREADY BUILT. We just need fine tuning and some touch up work. Can people stop this rebuilding term bs. I get sick of hearing it. I heard it enough last year. You really dont rebuild in the NFL anyway. Even after a 1-15 season, almost every team is close to competative. If you make the right moves in the offseason, you can win in this league. Its not like the old days and it isnt college ball.

We are far from being rebuilt. Don't let one season's record fool you. You rebuild to build a team the right way, so you can consistently be competing for championships, and we are not there yet. Good teams build a solid foundation, and then tweak it from there. If you want to be an elite franchise, that is how it is done. Sure you can take the quick fix approach, and it may get you 1 year, but it will not be for the long term. It is not easy to go from 1-15 to a winner, we had to get one of the best minds in football history to do so. If it was easy do you think the Lions, Rams, and Chiefs would be drafting where they are again this year?

Because if you don't have a defense, you will not win and if you don't have an offense, you won't win. You need to slowly build each area equally in order to field a team that can win.

At least we didnt rebuild the McDaniels-Madden Game style. After McDaniels' 2 to 4 win season you'll be seeing him like this:hsmash:

I think ppl forget how much turnover we had last year.. why we can't do that this year..We are rebuilding the team, we can't afford 20 new players or the better FA's every year.. if we can come close to these numbers from 2008 we should be doing fine...

QB = Chad Pennington, Chad Henne
FB= Lousaka Polite
WR=Ernest Wilford, B. London, Davone Bess
TE = Anthony Fasano, Joey Haynos
LT = Jake Long, Nate Garner
LG = Justin Smiley, Shawn Murphy, Andy Alleman
RG = Donald Thomas, Ikechuku Ndukwe
RDE = Phillip Merling
NT = Jason Fergusoni, Anthony Toribio
LDE = Kendall Langford, Randy Starks, Lionel Dotson
SOLB = Charlie Anderson
RILB = Akin Ayodele, Reggie Torbor
K = Dan Carpenter, Brandon Frye

26 new players in 2008 with 10 of them being starters 12 if you count Ndukwe and Alleman having to start for injuried players

So far this year they've brought in 11 with 3 as projected starters for 2009 and that's before the draft.

WR= Tod Lowber
FB= Chris Brown
C= Jake Grove, Joe Berger
NT= Tony McDaniel, Joe Cohen
ILB= Tearrius George
WLB= Cameron Wake
RCB= Eric Green
SS= Ethan Kilmer
FS= Gibril Wilson

We lost Holliday, Hill, Satele and Goodman as the only starters from last year.. But we have their replacements except for goodman really..

At this point that's 37 new players since the end of the 2007 season..
A roster only hold 53.. so in 2 years we possible have 14 new starters, before this year's draft.. and who knows from what's left on the roster who may step up big time... so there's no need to do more than they are doing and spending your money for big contracts on choice players..

thank you guys for your input . I am suffering from a dolphin fan stuck in the dallas area so i am aching to get a marquee player syndrome.

There might be more than one way to build a team, but there is only one way to do it in Miami. The Bill Parcells' way. And it does not really matter what we say, it ain't going to change.:D

There is only ONE way to rebuild a franchise... the Bill Parcells way... Just ask him. :lol:

Friend FishHead is right.
this is year two of a four year BillParcells RebuildingProject.

it is what it is & it's not going to change:hump:

Dallas adds marquee players every year it seems like....when was the last time they won a superbowl?
