In my point of view, there is only one move required for this team right now. Here is my analysis only on the Coaching staff.

1.HC Phibin. I know that he is not good on game management moments, on the other hand, he has some respect from players and coaches, he is a classy guy that we have heard that allow OC and DC have control, also, there is a good chemitry between him and Hickey which has done a remarkable job getting players in draft and free agency, a classy guy also.

2. OC Lazor, I like what I have seen so far, first year as a OC and brilliant future I feel, the most important area to improve in my mind is OL, and I trust Benton in this area, so I just let them keep working with Dennis Hickey in this second year, there is a foundation here. TE and WR will be great to improve, but I feel is not as imperative as OL.

3. DC Coyle, I like this guy as a secondary guru, but in my point of view as a DC has been outplayed in critical situation in several times, is good but not great, we can have a dominant defense and win it all with Lazor in the other side, I feel we need a spark in this area, to do that, even when he is not a welcomed coach in our team, Rex can do it in this critical side of the ball, I do not think it is possible to get him since he will hear a HC offers from other teams, but I will push to have him as the main movement in free agency.

Conclusion. I think it is required only a surgery on the structure, not a complete shake out right now to have a very good team. I know we have talked a lot on this matter, but I just want to share how I see our team right now.

Didn't the Jets try that with Sparano? It didn't work out too well.

Although I never understood that move by jets. Its not like Sparano's offenses were anything good. At least Rex has a better D going for him.

I do not see the similarity on this, Rex is a successful DC and Sparano not a clue as a OC, but he is a nice guy by the way.

IF.. that's IF Ross makes a move, make a wholesale change to insure he gets the best possible candidates.

Phibin should be gone. I don't care how nice he is. When it mattered most, this team failed.

Hickey has done well in the draft, but his FA pickups are suspect. Decent job over all, but may have to be a casualty if it means getting the right people here.

Donna Aponte. She's seen as a person who is involved in football operations of this team. Unbelievable. I'd make some deal with her to walk out the door to ensure that we get the right people.

All of the criticisms we had last year in the GM search needs to be applied this time. Remove every stumbling block. Remove every negative issue that was brought up to ensure that this franchise receives the enema it needs.

Cmon Ross. Show us how big your cahones are.

I think the "least" amount of change that gets the desired result is needed. I would not blow anything up just to show people I can.....but would decide on what the problem is and go from there.

Hickey's FA's are questionable?? When did that drama start.....?

I disagree on Philbin. He flub bed the Packer game, and we thought he may have learned from it in the Detroit game. He did not. And for the trio, he could not hold on in Denver. We needed a win over the Ravens for great chances in the playoffs. Lost it. Lost in N.e. He also lost us the last 2 last year needing only 1 win against 2 losing teams to make the playoffs. No go.
After all we have seen, you still think he gets another year? And possibly longer contract?

When the best attribute you can say about a coach is that he is a "classy guy", you know he is terrible.

I don't want Rex here as much as the next sane person who isn't into reality TV shows with the Kardashian's does but if you really expect Rex to sign on to a team in an all or nothing season without the personnel to run his defense you really have lost your mind.

Nobody can question Rex as a DC guru. Everyone has a pesonality and I do not care about that, I only care about results, players love Rex is the only thing that matters, they fight for him, they follow him, they trust him; he does not need to be loved by us because of his personality. Just my humble perception.

The biggest problem is the staff sticks with what obviously doesn't work for to long. Perfect example is now bringing in a K and benching Thomas after we are eliminated. Fox may not work and I think Rizzi is at fault for our kickers but damn Joe! Why wait until its to late?
