Well I'm getting ready to finally pull the trigger this season, on a DirectTV, NFL Sunday Ticket package.
My local sports pub, sold last season to a buyer who changed the name to "The Steel Trap", catering to a specific fanbase that prior the change, was generally made up of unruly drunkards. I would expect the new yellow and black decor, to only expand on that denomination, and the next sports bar, is a good half hour farther outa town.
Given the only nationally televised Dolphins game was last week, this season appears uniquely suited, to justifying the $240.00 subscription price.
That is, unless I can find it cheaper.

Does anyone know if DirectTV, is still the only official weekly televised provider of all NFL games nationally?

Direct TV is the best. I had to mave to Atlanta, they nevertalk about the Dolphins here. I get all my info from Fin Heaven, Phins.com and Direct TV

I crunched the numbers a long time ago, and Sunday Ticket would have to rise to $320, before it would be cheaper to watch at a sports bar. At least here in Greater Cleveland anyway. On average, I was spending at least $30/wk. And you have to keep spending here, otherwise THEY CHANGE THE GAME. They did it to us 3 different times, in 3 different places. Plus, the Browns were getting blown out on two of those occasions. I know it was a “spit in your face†kinda thing from the manager.

What do you mean? I live 20 minutes from Jets Stadium, i never see a dolphin game that isnt Monday/Sunda Night ot against the Jets/

Because I live in New York, I get to see the Phins play the Bills and Jets since they are local teams.

your lucky you live in the middle, i only get the bills and ocasionally the jets, but i always get them when they play the fins:)

I could not envision living anywhere else but here. Seeing a Phins home game on TV is weird. Because of the hurricanes last year, I was not able to make it to the Pittsburgh game. First home game I missed since 96.

That game was NUTS! I couldn't believe they were actually playing. And when Gordon got planted into the infield dirt, you could tell it was bad! That game pretty much summed up our season last year... It's a new year my friends!

i have directtv and i love it. being able to watch miami up here in ny is great. i just didn't like going to the local bars w/all the jets, giants, and dallas fans. dallas fans were always stuck in the back of the bar b/c they're so rowdy.

This is my fifth year purchasing the NFL Sunday Ticket with DirectTV. I also have a DVR and record the Miami games on Sunday. This way I can review the game in more detail and archive them for watching during the offseason.

Yes, we can get almost a half dozen games vs. division rivals.

I love DirecTV, living in New Jersey it is great, because its all about the Giants and Jets here. And I love being able to watch the game at the comfort of my living room without worrying about what may happen at a bar filled with people.
