These are the times that try football fans souls. The summer fan and the sunshine bandwagoner will in this time of losing, shrink from the support of their football team. But he or she that stands it now deserves the support and thanks from their fellow fans. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. The football gods know how to put the proper price on a championship and it would be strange indeed if so esteemed an article as a LOMBARDI TROPHY should not be highly rated.

^(Thomas Paine once wrote something similar during the hard times of the revolutionary war.)

Fellow fins fans, we should make a list of fins fans now in our losing days so that we can kick the bandwagoners off when we are tasting the sweet victory of a championship whenever it comes. We have a winning coach, who has never before endured a losing season, and has finally hit a bump in the coaching road. But rest assured that nick saban will embrace the challenge and work even harder to take our team where it needs to be to be consistently successful. Remember better days, like when nick saban denied a dinner invitation with the president because he felt training camp was more important. This is a good coach guys and ladies, and he is our man, he will take us to victory, and sticking with him is the best thing we could ever do for ourselves as a franchise. He will deliver a championship to miami before his career is done, but it will require a great deal of time and patience. I am willing to stick with my dolphins and our leader saban through the hard times, and i will be there to enjoy the good. After all, it is the hard times that make success taste so much sweeter.

we all claim we bleed aqua and orange, lets start doing it as a fan base. :dolphins:Dolphins Forever.

I think everybody here still supports the team if they didn't why would they participate in this forum. I support the team through think and thin. Even when we lose I's still rather watch the game than just about anything else.

Ok fine. But some of us older fans,who have been dragged through the mud with this team for so long, deserve the right to vent when the promise of a competitive team goes down the drain before the season is even half over.
I dont buy into the nonsense that when fans vent and lose hope that they`re fair weather fans and not die hard fans.Most of us here seen this movie befor and the ending is very disappointing. For those of you that continue to ignore the cold hard facts for fear that you`ll be labled a fair weather fan, fine, enjoy yourselves, but for the rest of us we know better.

agreed,

but the true fans still like to ***** and moan :-D

Post of the Season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dolphins::dolphins::dolphins::dolphins:

Finally a True Fin Fan!!!

Respects

I think most people on this board feel that way. If not, why would they post here? But I think Trace Armstrong's blurb on the homepage sums up about how most fans feel about the current state of our Fins; we were promised a lot at the beginning, and we have nothing to show for it. You can only take so much of the same tried and trodden old speeche every week, and without victories, let alone more competitive play, you're going to get a little sick of it and start to raise doubts about the man dubbed the savior. I've followed the Fins religiously since the first time I saw them play when I was 7, and I'll stick with Saban through the hard times. But you have to call it like you see it, and Trace, who is a very smart dude when it comes to football (great leader, former NFLPA presidnet, etc.) has done just that.

Had a 25-foot flagpole installed on my front lawn. The aqua and orange is right there under Old Glory...even at 1-6.

I have been a Fin Fan since 1966, when they had Flipper in the pool near the end zone. I have seen it all from George Wilson to Nick Saban. I will continue to be a fan long after Nick is gone. Even if they suck, which they presently do, I will bleed Aqua and orange. At least I can say I have seen my team win a few Super Bowls, not everyone can say that about their team.

I have to agree with this post. I am of the opinion that we all need to stay positive if for no better reason than to maybe transfer some cosmic positive energy to our ball club, but this is a forum where fustrated fans should have the right to come on and vent without having some young punk, or old punk for that matter, tell them that they are not Dolphin fans because they are upset with their football team.

i think tammy wynett said it best
