I hope we can at least have an entertaining game tomorrow . Get to see the uniforms one last time, might as well win

our games are technically meaningless starting in september, we suck, 8-8 has been the ceiling for 2 decades

Maybe you missed the part where we were making a push to make the playoffs

I think it’s important for Tua to have a good game and for us to finish with a winning record.

The players in the locker room are still excited about their futures, I am not sure they realize how depressed some fans are apparently.

We still need a reason to appeal to potential FAs, today could help that.

someone shouldve told tua we were making a push

but in all honesty ive lost all faith in this team, weve been stuck in 8-8 pergatory for a long time, always pick in the middle of the first round where the sure fire studs are gone and our moron gms and scouts cant seem to ever get it right

even if we started 7-1 you know we wouldve gone 1-7 to get to exactly the same place

I'm rooting for Tua as well but the problem is the better Tua does the more it seems the team thinks that just any QB can just put anyone in there and get the same resuts. Like, not gonna act like Tua has become an all pro or anything, but he does happen to be better at the only things this trainer wheels offense can actually do than most QB's used to being provided time and a running game. Like, they seriously mulled trading all our team's future draft capitol to put a QB who, even when he wasn't in legal trouble, held the ball longer than just about any QB in the league, and wanted to put him behind this line where two years after being drafted our guys still can't handle a basic stunt.

Those who doubt me, I mean we saw it before with Fitz. Offense is averaging about 25 PPG over a few weeks with Fitz, a "limited QB"? Well gee, clearly you can throw a theoretically more talented QB out there and you'll get 30 all the time. Only it didn't work that way because Fitz happened to have an acumen for getting rid of the ball quickly and operating in an immensely choatic that few QB's ever develop. Fitz's performance just allowed the team to put on blinders about the offensive environment they created. And they will do the same with Tua.

I'll admit though, it's probably a lot easier way to keep your job for another season just to tell your boss that you just need to get better at the QB position than it is to tell them you need to fix your line, coaching, and have weapons that are actually available, and after that you still can't know if the QB will have getting over the hump ability.

This team was top pick territory before. We ignored Aaron Rodgers for a middle of the pack running back, drafted a left tackle who was good but aged in dog years instead of a QB in another. Oh, and when we drafted a top shelf DB in the top 10 we alienated him by his 17th game because respectable NFL players didn't want to play on a team starting street free agents around them.

If this franchise was actually trying to destroy itself, they couldn’t have done a better job of it since Marino retired.
