This team hasn't had a good draft until last year. It usually takes a year or two for players to become serviceable starters unless your a first rounder. The guys that Wanny drafted that should be starting aren't even on the team anymore. Saban had to start from scratch. It's gonna take a couple years to get his guys up and running. That is when we'll know if Saban is doing a good job and he can take all of the blame.
 
4/5 of the lineman starting are from the Wannstedt era
(James/Hadnot/McIntosh/Carey)

The only good one in this bunch seems to be Hadnot

Vernon Carey is the most consistent lineman.......

I'm not going to protect Saban, He drafted Matt Roth who I barely see on the field, Travis Daniels who is not a talented corner (looks at the receiver instead of the ball), Anthony Alabi who can't crack the starting Lineup, Jason Allen (i believe we drafted the wrong guy)..Hagan and Crowder are the only ones worth keeping on this team along with Joe Toledoe..
 
Yeah, the Wannstedt/Spielman drafts set this team back many years. It's no secret. But we all wanted Shaun Andrews anyway right? I know i did. And look how he's doing in Philadelphia. The Dolphins sat there and let the Eagles jump ahead of them to get him, settling for the mediocre Vernon Carey who never impressed me in college anyway.

WRONG!!!!!..Lets put the blame solely where it belongs. George Wilson made this team what it is! Its all his fault we`re 1-5.
 
It goes beyond George Wilson! :sidelol:
So far after 2 drafts, Nick has given us one starter: Ronnie Brown - the 2nd pick in the draft. And People are moaning about his play!

ummm, no we have crowder who is more than "a" starter and daniels played very well for a rookie when he was healthy. we need to spend more on the o-line and this team would be great, nicks picks have been good. matt roth will be a starter when "94 Sacks" kevin carter, and "97.5 Sacks" jason taylor get out of his way.

I'm not a happy dolphins fan but im not so narrow minded that i dont see the direction that saban is taking the team. soon 2008 this will be the team to beat in the afc.
 
saban gets three years till the blame or praise is his alone for the personnell. Less than that is unrealistic and more than that would just be making excuses. next year the team is his and he has no excuses for anything short of the playoffs (or at least 8-8)

Daniels was a lousy pick for a corner....he doesn't have corner speed...ran a 4.66 at the combine...at best he's no better than a backup corner and more than likely should be playing at safety....thats is IF he can stay healthy.

If we have a horrible season next year also, I GUARENTEE people on these boards will still blame Wannstedt.
 
yes just like 9/11 was Clinton's fault.


u cant blame the PAST on the present. Nick is our coach NOW, anything that happens NOW gets put onto him. Just like u cant blame Clinton for something that happened when he wasnt president.
