"They" said we were getting Fisher, and it didn't happen, then "they" said Philbin was out and we were getting McCoy. And THAT didn't happen either! Both which I'm happy about.. Anyways, our next 'big' signing in the next couple months, will be whether or not we can get Flynn, so we just gotta remember that no matter what "they" say, none of us should put too much stake into these media hacks!

I agree. The media is a joke these days. There's hardly any true, dlligent reporting and journalism anymore. It's all about being first, ratings, drama and web hits.

"They" said Henne was going to have a better career than Marino. "They" said we were going to be playing for a Super Bowl. "They" said we were going to be getting a young Don Shula. We just got to remember that no matter what "they" say, none of us should put any faith in this front office!

Not sure how this fits in with this thread but if it helps your agenda go for it.

Just shows how easily the "they said" game can be turned on someone. My agenda is for the Dolphins to start making the decisions that will cause the team to the win the Super Bowl. What's your's?

Trying to garner votes for the Debbie Downer vote-off I see. Keep it up

Its all about who can report things first, not about getting it right. There are no reprocussions for false reporting. Jouralism today is about as low as it can get.

If you don't mind me asking, who did you want Ross to hire? Mike McCoy? Not trying to be a smart***, just curious.

Oh jeez. Billick? Schottenheimer? Chucky and the Chin weren't available, but I'm not sure that's not because they don't want to go anywhere near this ownership. I would have a hard time believing in this coach even if I thought he was going to succeed or fail on his own merits, but he's chained to Jeff freaking Ireland.

That, and this guy lost his son two weeks ago. Not saying that should disqualify him as a coach forever but who knows what kind of an emotional state he's in now. I don't know what to think about this coach, but what I do know? The media is no more worthy of doubting than this team's ownership and front office is based on track record.

Agree. I'm starting to wonder if it is the media that makes us look like clowns with all the inaccurate reporting.
