It is the classic Parcells MO. He messes with QB's minds by switching them all of a sudden one week. What he is doing is checking their attitude and how they handle it. BP builds character. And he will do it with all three! Pennington will deal with it best IMO.
 
I don't think White is really a mention for starting QB. He is here for the wild-cat and that reason only. Henne is our future and i have little doubt about that. White will get 7-10 snaps out of the cat and maybe line up at WR as well.

No, no he's not. You do not use a high draft for a couple plays a games. He literally just Said... White will Compete for QB. How is this so hard to comprehend for the majority of finheaven?!

So after apparently being enamored with Henne they used another 2nd rounder pick just because they wanted more competition at the spot?
 
Pennington/Henne will be the quarterback that runs the conventional offense. Pat White will come when it comes time for the Wildcat or other specialty formations. That's all there is to it.

And Parcells said we would not trade Taylor. He can sat whatever he wants to make our new draft pick happy. White in most liklihood will never be an effective starting NF qb.

Have you seen white play college ball? Have you seen henne? White is clearly a better QB that is why he was drafted...

WHat they really want is to hand Chad Henne the starting job in a silver plate.

Drafting a 6.0 Qb related to a spread style offense with the past failures of Vick and young in the NFl is the way to go for them.
 
I fully expect Pat White will be given an opportunity to compete for the starting QB position when the time comes.

Though I'm not happy about us drafting Pat White, I will say he seems to be a very class act! I will root for him and wish him the very best while he's a Dolphin! :hi5:

I've been thinking about this a lot all day and I'm really excited to see how White can add to our team, especially in their "wildcat" formation. Imagine when the QB (White) splits out as a wide receiver. A lateral pass from Ronnie to White to Ginnster. I'm allowed to dream.. Anyways, really hope he works out for us and is truly worthy of such a high pick at a critical moment. I trust our FO and hope they got it right. Stoked on the CB's as well. We'll be competing for years at a high level if we can keep finding diamonds in the draft! Go Dolphins!!!

see if you can comprehend this.... we have used a 2nd round selection on qb three years in a row now. at what point do we need 4 qbs on the roster?

pat white won't be out anybody for a starting qb spot in the nfl. let alone penny or henne for the phins. you'll see him in the wildcat... nothing else.

tell me again how many snaps from center this kid has taken in his career?
