Here are a couple of things that coming out of Preseason I am very curious to see against the Jets.

*Will our DL be able to provide any Pass Rush against their OL. This imo is the key to the game. If Favre has all day in the pocket then we are in serious trouble. He propably doesnt have 100% of the offense down yet so rushing his thinking will be the key to get him to throw some INT's.

*Will our OL be able to open wholes for our Two Headed Monster (RW/RB)?
Jets DL is pretty decent, excited to see the Long-Gholston matchup.

*How improved is our secondary? Are they really as good as advertised? or did we get really lucky in preseason? Brett will definately test this unit.

*Can our ST stop their returner(s) from having a huge game.

*Can our LB's/DB's and coach;s figure out how to stop the little dump off plays. We have been good against the run and good against the long pass, but throughout the preseason the short passes and/or dump offs have been hurting us some.

*Last and not least are we going to see the '07 Favre or the '06 Favre?

I agree with your points. I think that the two most important points are our OL and DL controlling the LOS. if we get pressure on Brett our secondary doesn't have to be awesome, i just want to see the intensity i saw in the KC game and the 2nd quarter on in the saints game. and if our OL is living on the second level i think we can have a very good game running the clock and moving the ball. I cant wait to see what our O will look like considering we haven't seen much of the playbook yet

I'm all about defense. I want to see our D flying around the field, smashing fools in to the ground.

yeah, look, Favre wanted to play again. did he really want to play for the Jets, though? Is his heart really in it? I really think after being in one place his whole career, this change cant be that easy. its going to take some time for him to get really acclimated well. he came in very late during camp and its hard to think he can be up on 100% of that offense.

you can say the same about pennington, but at least he's played under the coaches before and they are using a similar offense that he's been in before. and he has the benefit of a far better run game.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that this is the same coaching staff that was in Dallas last season that made Favre look horrible in that game vs them. - Pasqualoni and Bowles.

Not to mention I love our offensive co-ordinator.. With Dan Henning calling the shots for their offense, the Panthers went from a 1-15 team to the super bowl in just two years... Plus he directed those Redskins offenses when they won a couple super bowls, and he was with some good offenses in Buffalo.. I also think he was calling the shots in NY with Parcells when the Jets went from a 1-15 team to 9-7 the very next season, then to 12-4 and an AFC championship bid only a year later........

Henning will call a stellar and clever game with the backs we have and with a QB like Pennington. Just you watch.

Our coaching is miles better than the Jets.. MILES AND MILES better..

I went onto a Jets forum the other day to see how the posters were saying Gholston was panning out. They had nothing but negative things to say such as....he can't get off his blocks and the majority of his attempts at a tackle are arm tackles and that all he has is a bull rush and we know that doesn't work very well in the pros. I had a very hard time finding anything positive about the guy. Advantage: Long
Its GREAT to know that our defensive coaches have had to gameplan for Favre before and were successful at it.
