QB situation moving forward:
C-Pep traded or released - he isn't the answer with the new system. If he was at all then Cam would have come out by now and said IF C-Pep is healthy he is MY guy.
Draft Quinn, Edwards, or Stanton - future starters IMO. Not so sure about Kolb and I don't see it with Beck.
Offer a 7th to KC for Green and walk away. KC can only wait so long and then they have to cut him. He knows our system - if we want him WAIT it out. We have given up two 2nd rders and a 5th for zip production at QB. Green is a band aid and we can't give up a valuable pick.

RW situation resolved - trade his rights! We don't need the headache. He is a shell of himself - we need to draft a RB in the middle or late rounds and move on. Let's build this thing with character guys who put the team first.

Draft a QB and DB 1st day!
DON'T draft OL 1st pick!! Nobody in this draft is worth that high of pick other than Thomas and he is so into football he is going fishing instead of being at the draft. I'd question his long term motivation.

JAllen to become a player - we need him to step up and become a starting caliber DB or safety. We need the youth build up and he has to come through.

Lastly, Mueller to pull out some magic in the mid to low rounds and get us a stud DE for the future and a starting OL guy. A DE guy with potential that won't start any time soon but that we can hit on and a OL guy that comes in and kicks tail.

I would take Brown with the first pick. It is a need position for us, and as of right now... we have NO line at all. Why in the world would you get rid of RW with his talent and his pricetag.....It's a no-brainer. You keep him for his final two years. His value will only go up. I totally agree with you on Green. Just wait it out.

I agree and disagree, we shouldn't give up more then a 7th for Green, he will be released before the Chiefs pay him 7.2 Mil. It's better for us to have Daunte return to health and play this season.

I disagree, RW is also better off with us cause he'll be cheap and he far more talented then anything we could get in trade.

I agree and disagree, I think we have no choice but to draft a QB on day one, as for OT If Brown is there we have to consider it because we have no depth at the position much less a starter. OT is equally as important as QB for us this year. OT isn't the sexy pick but for us it could be the right pick....unfortunately!

I think with Saban away from the secondary, they will improve. Allen has the tools, will he be able to stay healthy?? We will see. I think we all hope Jason lives up to his first round selection.

Lastly, Mueller to pull out some magic in the mid to low rounds and get us a stud DE for the future and a starting OL guy. A DE guy with potential that won't start any time soon but that we can hit on and a OL guy that comes in and kicks tail.

Never been Muellers strength, we will see if that's changed.

I like most of your ideas, but with the Ricky situation how can you "trade his rights."
The most you could get for the guy would be a 6th or 7th rounder, when his ability is equivelant to a top back.
You got to stick it out with RW, just use him for a couple of years, it will also keep Brown healthier.

Why trade ricky when you wont get much out of him because of him Mary jane prob. if we keep him, ronnie and ricky would have a chance at 1,000 yrds. he still is a good RB and i believe he wont have anymore problems. i definately dont want to see him go to another AFC east teams and face him 2 a year.

I thought Ricky's contract ran through 2007 so this would be his last year under the current contract right?

agree with most of that especially the green 7th. he will be released and wants to play here. i think ricky is a great value and should definately be kept. i was really unhappy with that situation as it developed, but now i see a guy who is much more comfortable with himself and life, he was a good team mate from what i read and he seems motivated to play, i have really high ( no pun intended ) hopes for ricky this year to come back and be a real asset to the club

BIn sying this in every thred..will say in this...i will bet anybody 10.000 fin dollars that Cpep will be on our roster agains that game VS Redskins.

Edwards and Stanton have greater bust potential than Russell does JMO.
I agree w/ Phil Simms about Quinn.

As for J Thomas; if you knew you were headed to either Detroit or Arizona, wouldn't you be tenative too?

And several people have tried to take that bet but you disappear never to respond, you are dreaming if you think he will be on this roster much longer. As for the original poster, I agree with most of it, but I do think we need a OL first day, there are a few worthy.

You notice no ones willing to take that bet? Even though everyone seems covinced Daunte's gone?

Quinn is a BUST as a top 10 pick. He is more value at pick 15-20.
Prediction: Quinn is THIRD QB selected!
Miami drafts a WR early
Miami takes a LT first at #9
DL in 3 rd
LB
DB
OL in 5th or 6th
