vontae davis - stellar play on the INT. he layed into the receiver's legs and helped produce the INT. i didn't see his number get burned yesterday either.

sean smith - another excellent day for him except for the ONE TD pass...what people fail to see about that play is that he had him blanketed for almost the entire play except when smith turned around to track the ball and he slowed down about one half step and that was enough to take him away from position to not only intercept but to bat the ball away. stellar day other than that.

cameron wake - generated pressure pretty much all day. how many sacks did freeman avoid too...the guy is huge and avoided about 3-4 sacks.

haynos - stepped in admirably for fasano.

the punt and kickoff team coverage.......awful... it needs to be worked on badly.

henne - other than the one mistake played a good game where you saw more development. he throws damn hard.

ginn - another disappointing day not only at receiver but as a returner. i'm sick of him running out of bounds. WTF???

did the new guys, kory something, give you guys the same feeling that when something is thrown his way, he catches it firmly?

Wake is a beast and Anderson if he keeps his head makes plays. I like keeping JT around for situational plays. Porter needs to go - big mouth and can't back it up consistently. Can't have 1 big game and then take the next 2 off.

Sperry finally gave us a TE that made plays. Haynos is commendable but is not a playmaker.

Langford is a beast - i koeep forgetting he is only in his 2nd yr!

Ginn is absolutely horrible! Can't catch - could have had the 1st pass, should have come down in bounds on the sideline catch. After running out of bounds directly on every return, your team just went down with 1:30 left and the other team is kicking off form their 15! And you let the ball roll and get stopped at your 16 - r u kidding me! Why the hell is he lined up at the 5 to begin with? The kid has no head and i just can't imagine him not being traded. Time to call up the ps guy they got from SF and let him return kicks with Brown out for a bit.

Is it just me or do I see Carey missing a few blocks that hurt us? Seems he gets beat a few times that I didn't use to notice. The kid Gardner did pretty well filling in for Smiley.

1) I don't agree for Sean Smith... He has a tendency to give up big plays or being quite often out of position..He's a rookie so he gets a free pass

2) Haynos situation is actually disturbing..It looks like that LB from Tampa blanketed him on several occasions and he wasn't able to get open much. This is very disturbing that a LB with no safety help can shut down a 6'8 guy.

Smith is fine. As for going up against Moss, I don't think any nfl cb can cover him if no pressure up front, he is a future hall of fame for a reason.

True dat. Did you see Moss torch the NE seconday last night? Come on man, the guy is almost uncoverable at this point. PLUS our safties absolutely SUCK, so he was getting no help really.

The TD against Smith was largely due to Smith jumping a little to quickly. If you look at the play he is actually coming down as the ball goes over his fingertips. He still had a good game.

Very impressed with Sperry. Where did he come from?

Anyone notice on Henne's first pass to Bess on the final drive, Ginn was crossing towards Bess and once the catch was made, he pulled up instead of throwing a block that could have given Bess extra yards?

Actually, with the insertion of Clemens, the safety play is improving.

I like the way the secondary is improving... the young guys are getting better with each passing week ... although I'm not sure that the secondary this year; will ever be as good a the players in 2008 were ... but at least they are improving... experience will make all the difference in the future, just ask Madison and Surtain!!!

One thing overlooked about yesterday's game:

WHY can't Miami ever pick up a loose fumble or make a pick when it is a gimme.

Yesterday there was a play where we had a sure fumble and one of our lineman kicked the ball about ten yards. Last year we were near the top in turnover numbers....I think that played a big part in us going 11-5....this year we never get any breaks or force turnovers, compared to last year.

Ummmmmmmmmm What about the JT int?

I actually think our special teams have been playing pretty well and I thought they played pretty good on Sunday as well. What was it they did that was so bad?

I saw Rudd on him for a lot of the game and he is one of the best cover Lb's in the league.

The one thing that sticks out to me that is being overlooked is the fiasco on the kickoff return following Tampas TD to take the lead. After they got the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and were kicking off from teh 15, we should have been able to get great field position only needed the fg for the win. Instead everyone let the squib roll by and Ted Ginn was of course hesitant and got tackled on the 15!!!!! That was un-excusable
