Read this quote from Childress:

" Offensive coordinator Brad Childress said the transition to McMahon should be smoother than the one to Feeley, who went 4-1 playing for McNabb in just his second season.

"It's easier from the standpoint that [McMahon] has actual game experience," Childress said. "I think he'll play a lot like A.J., disciplined in the system. He has more movement abilities than A.J."

How hard must have Philly coaches and management been laughing at us when we traded a second for AJ when we could have had McMahon for free? Thanks Rick and Wanny!

I may be wrong, but I dont think McMahon was a Free Agent back then.

About as hard as Rich McKay will be laughing at us if we trade a 1st rounder for Matt Shaub...as has been mentioned in other threads.

A 1st for Schaub may be a stretch, but anybody who saw him start for that team knows what he's capable of. I mean he moved the ball with ease and they have no capable recievers at all.

The same exact thing could be said of Feeley while he was in Philly....believe me, I'm not a Feeley advocate and I don't hate Schaub but a little perspective is needed.

No to Schaub. Although he looks good, we need to start grooming our own picks instead of trying to putting in other's rejects.

I agree I find it ridiculous when people bash the Feely trade(which deserves to be bashed) but then talk about trading away a first for Schaub. Sure he looked impressive but not for a first. I would give up a late second if we had 1 or a third round pick at the most. We can also trade Sam Madison and a 4th if you want to go Madden style with the trade talk.

Not really. Feeley was making all the safe throws. He looked confident, no doubt, but the offense was generally running in safe mode. Schaub on the otherhand, did not look as if there were restrictions to the offense. He was making ALL the throws.......he looked so natural out there.........
