Trent bleeing Dilfer won a super bowl, TRENT DILFER!!! If Chad Henne can just grow into a solid quarterback and our defense plays as good as I for one think its going to, then there is no reason Miami will be a team to fear in the AFC with the talent we already have. I really think the Defense is going to carry us this season and you know what, I don't have that much of a problem with that. Thats still what wins Super Bowls. GO FINS!

Chad Henne is what he is.......... a turnover machine. He isnt going to grow into anything. He's already a grown man. He isnt a good NFL QB and never will be. Even if he throws for more yardage or TDs, what we have to be concerned with is his ability to throw costly INTs. Unless that changes, and the chances are slim, we arent winning anything with Henne, much less Super Bowls.

As far as the defense goes, yea they could be great. But, if the offense is as poor as it was last season, they will put the defense in too many adverse situations. So even if the defense is great, its just not going to be able to carry the team unless we limit the turnovers to almost the league low.

And as far as defense winning championships, go back at least 10 years and you might be onto something. But, the last time I checked, its been top notch QBs and a lot of scoring that has taken home the trophy.
 
Everyone always love to bring up Trent Dilfer (who actually made it to a pro bowl once), but what other so-called "crappy" QB's have won a Super Bowl?
 
Yeah, lately the Defenses just make some really nice key plays here and there to slow down the offense when it counts in big games.

Does everyone realize that the NFL has changed since these QB's won a Super Bowl with rock star defenses?

The NFL has changed so many rules to give the offenses the upper hand because OFFENSE SELLS to the casual fan. Guys like me, still very much appreciate a damn good defensive game. But defenses can't play the same way that they did when Baltimore and Tampa ****-kicked everyone years ago.

This is now a QB league. Pass pass pass. Look around fellas. The ground game is even becoming less and less of a factor these days. It's the reason why stud running backs like Mark Ingram slip all the way to the late 20's. It's not the same.

Wake up.
