And the Giants did what I thought the Dolphins were doing.

The Giants overloaded on defensive ends and kept rotating fresh legs in and out all season. Those dudes got after Tom Brady and disrupted everything.

You telling me Eli Manning is the equivalent to Chad Henne?

Things have changed man. Don't come with this 1% rule.
 
here is another way to look at it if the defense would have held on to some int's last year we would have probably one more games

Heh, this is the battle cry of EVERY team out there with a garbage to mediocre QB in the NFL. You see it every year on every NFL forum that fits the description. The problem is that the 2000 Ravens, the 1985 Bears, and the Steel Curtain Steelers are such once-in-a-generation type of defenses that you see very few of them. There isn't even a defense in the NFL that compares to those defenses, and we aren't even close.

What's more common is the potent passing attack led by a dominant QB. Did you see what GB did? They won 3 games on the road and destroyed a pretty solid defense in the SB. This is what wins in todays NFL, of course our FO is stuck in the 80s.

The NFL has changed so many rules to give the offenses the upper hand because OFFENSE SELLS to the casual fan. Guys like me, still very much appreciate a damn good defensive game. But defenses can't play the same way that they did when Baltimore and Tampa ****-kicked everyone years ago.

This is now a QB league. Pass pass pass. Look around fellas. The ground game is even becoming less and less of a factor these days. It's the reason why stud running backs like Mark Ingram slip all the way to the late 20's. It's not the same.

Why did the Jets beat the Colts in wild card round of last postseason. I assure you it was not the high power offense. You can get to the playoffs and win a wild card weekend game with an awesome defense and mediocre offense.

Did the Jets win the SuperBowl or was it the high-powered passing attack led by the best young QB in the league? Did the Jets beat the other ground and pound(+ a money QB) in the Super Bowl?

If the goal is to make the playoffs and win some games, go ahead model yourself after the Jets. Call me when Sanchez wins a SB for them.

Better coaching. Period. Jets are a better team overall.

Peyton is the superior QB.

But once you get to the playoffs you're splitting hairs man.

Look at the teams that made the playoffs and the teams that didn't make the playoffs.

What's the major difference.
 
Chad henne problem is something that you cant fix, accuracy, its one of those things that some ppl are good at and some ppl just suck at. Henne sucks at it, he cant put the ball where it needs to be so it gets intercepted each time or its an incomplete pass and very rarely its a completed pass for us. Blame the offensive coordinator, blame ******, blame whoever, but i blame hennes accuracy, he doesnt have "it".

Chad henne has been playing football for how long now? 8 years and he still has horrible accuracy which tells me aint nothing changing. Hopefully matt moore steps up, i rather try something else other than the henne.

I prefer WINNING. Settling for appearances in the AFC championship is still not good enough for me.
 
Doug Williams. Look at that guys stats. Terrible except for the year they won the super bowl.
 
We did the great defense with Jay Fiedler routine some years back. It didn't work. To be fair we have also had the franchise QB and did not win a Lombardi either.

Personally, I will take the Marino years any day. I always thought if a few moves would have worked out Dan could take us there.
