To see what Dion Jordan can do. Haven't seen Vernon in 3 weeks. He did nothing. Think we should start Jordan against the Pats. Oh my bad. Joe Philbin is still head coach.

I think Vernon was the one who had a spin move to get the sack that almost cause a safety last week. If we lose to the pats then I'd definitely give him more playing time the last two weeks . Not yet though , let's see what happens this week.

Jordan has been on the field and hasn't done ****.

You've already seen what he can do. He's Ted ginn 2.0. A first round special teamer.

Except this guy co$t us a first rounder AND a high second. :rolleyes2: Man........that could have been Two Oline man right there. :tubes:

That pick never made any sense . We had Cam Wake . Great depth at DE. So many holes to fill. Be a while until we can wash off Irelands stink.

I see Vernon all over the field. I don't know what games you have been watching.

2 tackles, 1 sack last week.
7 tackles the week before.
5 and a tackle for loss the week before

Dion Jordan only cost us a 2nd rounder. We used our first rounder that you said we gave up for him on him. So we moved from the number 12 to number 3 for a 2nd round pick. Which we still had a second 2nd rounder.

Jordan has actually played well as a hybrid player on the defense.

In his limited snaps he's been good at diagnosing run plays and screens. Last week he lined up at DT then backed up 8nto coverage, then sniffed out a screen and got the tackle on 3rd and short.

He's not the dominate pass rusher most saw him as, which baffles me because he didn't show it in college, but he's playing alot like the player from Oregon as a hybrid all over the place type.

Sounds like he is going to try to run with Gronk this week.

Still gave up too much for a project who was hurt coming out of college. You don't draft a project at #3 overall, especially if you also paid an extra 2nd.

I really hope so. Since we don't have much to lose anymore, it will be a really good opportunity to see exactly what we have in this guy, as well as a couple others. Gronk ought to be able to wring him out, if anyone can. I hope Jordan manhandles him.

Nice Try. But we never should have picked a position we were deep at in the first place. On top of that he didn't play almost his whole rookie season because of an injury sustained in college. We should have picked an Olineman with the 12th overall first rounder. Looking back another Olineman with the 2nd, but hindsight is always better.........

What have we learned from this? Ireland is/was a moron. A lot of our free agents went down with injuries this season. If Hickey has another draft like this one, we will be competition for any Team on any given Sunday.

I'd love to see him earn a defensive player of the week award and finally prove he has worth. (or trade value) :err:

should have traded him to the eagles in the offseason.

I never said that I was thrilled with the pick. All that I said was we didn't give up a first round pick for him. We gave up an early 2nd rounder. A lot of people continue to say that we gave up a 1st rounder for Jordan when in reality we gave up a 2nd rounder for him.

Concur that we shouldn't have drafted him when our d line was so deep, but I believe he is an OLB in a 3/4 not a DE in a 4/3.

We would have been better to keep the pick and strengthen our team in other areas...o-line for sure...linebacker if there was one there for us...having said that with the depth at the DE position, that you point out, we still suck in that area too. Our d-line as deep as it is still isn't near a dominate force and obviously needs help.
so a dominate DE to help Wake turn this line into a force isn't, in hindsight, such a reach...but for now, it seems, Jordan wasn't the right pick for that.
