I usually cant stand to watch the boys in green
but i have missed football so much
and wanted to see what the dolphins rivals are up too..

Jets quarterbacks sacked 7 times

Funniest thing was seeing Rex Ryan lose his cool
in a goal line situation his men not getting off the field in time he has to call a timeout and gets pissed off and slams down his headset his fat boils over and unbuttons his jacket..

Reading his lips Rex said a lot of obscenities..
The jets get tricked with a bootleg a few plays later and running back catches a ball to score on the jets with ease..i see thomas and bush exploiting the jets in this way..

Listening to Rex Ryans press confrence he really hates losing
regardless that its preseason i kinda like that..

My observations where is Mangold? Stinger..
The guy backing up Mangold goes down with a knee injury! Reserve Rob Turner lower-leg injury late in the first quarter and Vladimir Ducasse had a bad outing as a reserve tackle.

The jets gave up 3 big sacks in the first half
the developmental saban Quarterback Mccleroy gets clobbered his heads bounces of turf..
Dolphin Draft bust Patrick Turner does well..

Sanchez checked down most of his opportunities
jets getting real safe that the line is not protecting well Jets still manage to run the ball ok however.

The bottom line is that the jets have NO DEPTH! Ducasse got beat like my ex-gfs ----- ..... Kerley isn't that great and the rest of their depth at every position sucks. McCelroy reminds me of Derek Anderson. Their white punt returners are horrid. Rex is fat. The only player I love and WISH WE DRAFTED is Bilal Powell.

B.Powell looked real good, running with conviction and gliding side to side as needed. The kids got some real good running instincts.

Was nice to see them struggle, but if I recall they weren't even playing all the starters in the opening drives.

too bad the jets backups aren't the starters...that starting lineup is plenty talented...bottom line is thats a good football team...they still don't feature a guy who can beat tackles consistently as a pass rusher though

I also noticed that the texans were using a 3 tightend set that seemed to do some damage in the run game..

Too bad the dolphins don't have more capabale tightends..

I think another jets weakness will be the coverage linebackers we really need clay to step it up

This is one of the only people to realize this on this thread. Our depth isnt that good. but our starting O-line IS!! We played with a back-up O-line and a 3rd string QB pretty much all game. Aside from the LAUGHABLE last play, McElroy looked damn good. And yes, he got sacked a lot, a rookie with a 2nd, 3rd string O-line is gonna get sacked.

Yes, our O-line playing without its All-Pro Center and top 10 guard struggled. They're 2 of our 3 best linemen, of course the line was shaky without them. We usually carry 8 linemen, so if we suffer more than 1 injury at a time, it shows. Last year, Robert Turner was the reserve for the interior positions, and Wayne Hunter was the reserve tackle. Vlad Ducasse almost never saw the field, we learned why tonight: He's TERRIBLE. Now, with Hunter replacing the retired Woody at RT and Turner being injured, Ducasse is our lone backup linemen. As of right now, depth on the OL is a major concern.

Hey, now we know where to spend that $7M in cap space.

Dude, its the Jets backups that go their asssses handed to them and remember, Mangold was not in there. Jets have possibly the best Offensive line coach in the NFL. Makes ours look like Mary Poppins.

It's pretty sad when Rex Ryan shows more emotion and anger about fixing his back up O-Line, than Sparano has about our starting O-Line.

He also said "There are no excuses", regarding the lack of protection (Unlike Sparano). I hate the team but like his tenacity.

When I saw you compare McElroy to Derek Anderson I knew you didn't know what you were talking about. Anderson is 6'6 and has a big arm but is inaccurate. McElroy is 6'2 and has a weak arm, but hes smart and accurate with the short passing game.

The Jets have depth, just not on the OL or at LB. Our starting OL is great, but our backups blow, I am hoping Robert Turner is not seriously injured because he was our best backup linemen. Josh Mauga played like a beast tonight, backup ILB but besides him we have no other real backup at ILB. Garrett McIntyre had 2 sacks tonight.

Jeremy Kerley shows potential as a returner and a slot receiver.

Our first defensive unit destroyed atlanta in the first series. then we played only with backups. is the jets o line better than atlanta`s???

They have no depth yet their 3rd string QB is better than our starting QB. That pretty much tells the story right there. Sadly, they arent the only team within our division that this is true for. NE also has 3 QBs on their roster better than the guy we start.
