Think our oline is bad? The Jets are in trouble..

well, couple things.

Brad Smith gone.
LT year older after his comeback year. (not necc a downgrade, but I am expecting the usual foot prob by week 7.)
Jets just took one FA big name and replaced with another "older guy". Yeah Mason is a nice respectable receiver, but he is old and friggin retired two years ago, then came back.
Their drafts have not been deep or real big gains. I include Sanchize in there cus he was high draft pick and people still comparing to Henne.....he just threw another quick slant! LOL
Defense I just do not see being as nasty. It will still be very good, but holes will be found. Just not seeing depth like we have. Thinking about the long season here.

You do realize we then lost our backup C early on, right?

You also realize this game was played w/ mostly backups, right?

You guys are reahcing as usual. We will have a very good Ol w/ a couple of quality backups when the season starts. Any team that loses 2-3 OL will have trouble filling those holes.

So when this happened to the Dolphins in the past during the regular season you surely make excuses for them and understood why they struggled on the o-line right? Most people here realize Sanchez is a below average QB, you're allowed to be a homer and pretend Sanchez is at least average if you want but the guy has one of the least accurate arms in the entire league, there's back-ups with better accuracy and he throws a lot of INT's despite not being asked to do much. He got lucky with would be INT's last year but that's not likely to happen again, some of those gimme picks will actually be caught this year. So despite the guy having a top rated running game he still sucks. The funny thing is, Chad Henne is actually more TALENTED than Sanchez. He has a much, much better arm, more accurate and just as bad decision making skills. You seen who was better when they BOTH had top running games. If Henne were on the Jets he'd put up better numbers than Sanchez and I think Henne is well below average, it just so happens Sanchez is well below average and a less talented below average. Sanchez can run faster if that means anything. :3w:

Come on junc. Be real for a minute. The Jets are a really good team. Good defense, real good running game, they even have some good targets in the passing game (Holmes/Keller) but they have a below average QB who almost single-handedly loses them games. Lucky for him, last year a lot of those back breaking INTs got dropped. Take the Browns game for example, all he had to do was NOT throw a pick and they likely win the game on a FG, well he throws a perfect pass to the DB who lucky for him was already running for a pick 6 before actually catching the ball. He threw at least 2 easy picks against the Dolphins that Sean Smith dropped I believe.

I bet on games to make money on the side so I watch all the games either live or on nfl rewind which is nice cause it cuts out all the commercials and in between plays and Im telling you with no bias at all that Sanchez is a below avg QB. I wouldnt want him on the Dolphins anymore than I want Henne's worthless *** on the Dolphins. The sad thing is, Henne actually has a higher ceiling than Sanchez who doesnt possess any special talents. Below avg arm, wayyyy below avg accuracy, below average decision making. The only thing he has going for himself is he has all the talent he could ask for around him and he has some mobility. Thats it bro. He's below average in every sense.

Nevermind the fact he completes half his passes and throws more interceptions than anyone in the league because he got extremely lucky last year with dropped INT's so therefore he's "good and getting better". Try..."getting luckier". Is there a way to look up how many dropped INT's a QB had? I'd bet my house Sanchez had more dropped INT's than anyone and if half those had been picked he would have had 20+. He wasnt so lucky in 2009 and it showed. He had more easy INT's dropped than I can ever remember last year. It was a game by game basis to the point it got ridiculous. Id be interested in actually seeing the numbers if they are out there.

i hear where your coming from and im not gonna say our d will be better than yours.what i will say and i truly believe is that the miami dolphins defense has a lot more talent than the jets d.we will see how it translates on sundays but on paper i think we are supeior.
mia has probowl talent all over our dline.we have one of the best lb cores in the game.we have a above average set of safteys(better than the jets safteys),and we have a great young core od corners and safteys.i would honestly say that the only spot the jest have more talent is in the secondary but mia has real good young talent to compete.i like the way rex gets the most out of his d but from a talent standpoint dolphins d is superior.

for the record, Kris Jenkins on NFLN just said that he doesnt think the Jets are going to push for super bowl. Stated depth and probs on OL (depth/injury), and older guys on O in Mason, LT, ect. He thinks they still have a good team but he says more regressed due to age and not upgrade. This is my exact feeling. Yes, im a homer, but I also feel this way.

The one X factor has been they just get in and play up in playoffs. Problem this year is I see us beating the Jets, and poss twice! I think Henne likes playin Jets. HE HE HEHENNE BEAT THE JETSSSSSSSSSSSS!

To me, it comes down to Plexiglass. If he has a big year, then all bets are off. But something about what Parsells said about 2 1/2 yrs is a long long time to be on vacation in NFL.

I think sanchez will throw more pics the d wont be as dominant
Sanchez will get sacked more i think they still have a dynamic running game regardless
though the run game is what is keeping the jets competitive
if that gets worse because of oline woes sanchez would really struggle
without the run game putting him in short manageable plays..

I think the Jets "year" was really last year.

Sucks that they blew it.

On paper this years team is not as good, but if Sanchez take a jump from 2nd to 3rd year, it might be enough to compensate. I dont see superbowl (Pats are going to be to good) but 10-12 wins is possible.

This is one of the only people to realize this on this thread. Our depth isnt that good. but our starting O-line IS!! We played with a back-up O-line and a 3rd string QB pretty much all game. Aside from the LAUGHABLE last play, McElroy looked damn good. And yes, he got sacked a lot, a rookie with a 2nd, 3rd string O-line is gonna get sacked.

it is always fun beating the jets though id trade 2 losses to the jets if it meant winning the division.

i see the dolphins and jets equals at this point both defenses are great..
both quarterbacks weak i like dolphins receivers more i like the jets running game more
its a toss up who will be second place in division..
