Just curious if you guys think we'll make any huge roster moves in the coming weeks. If so, what?

Or do you think it will just be minor bottom-of-the-roster turnover and improvement?

The trading deadline is Oct. 14. Recall last year's big pre-deadline trade was moving Chambers to SD for a 2nd.

Note - please make a distinction between what you realistically think could happen and what you wish would happen. :)

Well, if the opportunity arises, I think we may see Ernest Wilford traded. If the right team has a few injuries at WR, maybe we could even get a respectable pick in return. I'm not sure I'm ready to give up on him but he seems buried on the depth chart and unfortunately I'm not sure he can work his way up. I'd rather see his salary cleared from the books so we can go after a 1st rate WR like Roy Williams if he becomes a free agent.

We may see them sign a practice squad player or two as they continue to evaluate the roster but I certainly don't see any big names ending up in Miami.

I doubt any teams will have a intrest in wilford if he cant even break into miami's starting line up. Our best bet is just to accept we blew that one, cut him, eat the loss and move on.

Who in the right mind would trade for Wilford (apart from Al Davis :D)

I hope we trade for a CB. Watching Goodman getting beat week after week is torture.
I'm not worried about WR, Ginn, Camarillo are Ok plus we have excellent pass catching TE's in Fasano and Martin

I honestly thought during the bye week some calls might have been made on Roy Williams. Our extra second rounder (and a negotiated 5-year extension on his contract) brings him here and allows us to cut Wilford.

I can't see any 'major' changes to our roster. it's still to early yet to make assessments on some of the players - who continue to 'improve' week to week.

Moving Wilford is minor, and we will not trade for any siginificant upgrade during this season.

The FO will still tweak the bottom 48-53 and the PS ... and even then minimumly - barring injury of course.

Barring injury I dont see any major moves on the horizon.

I get the feeling we are going to try to develop what we have now and look to making changes in the offseason.

I'm not sure there is anything on the market right now that is an upgrade to what we have (Free agent pool)

I don't see us making any trades unless it involves us acquiring draft picks.

(Not that I wouldnt mind picking up an Anquan Boldin, Chad Ochocinco, or Roy williams)

John Beck anyone? Even though I hope not, but seems like we are always getting rid of a QB.

aka AJ Feeley and a 7th rounder for Cleo Lemon
that's what i was thinking, but i really don't think anything will happen unless there's an offer that we can't refuse... and that rarely happens in the nfl.

Rod Wright maybe....Hes lost on the depth chart and I think his contract is up this year.

i think if anything happens to flacco up int Bal, then we might be able to send cam his beloved j.beck. or seattle if another WR goes down we can send them wilford like sum1 else said.
