Thinking back

1. i was not one to put down the FO decision to let J.T. go but i was not 1 who was praising it either. Now look at the situation, we have 2 rookie d-lineman who look great and J.T. is out with injury for perhaps an extended amount of time. This FO has done almost everything right when it comes to bringing in their kind of players. I mean last year i couldnt tell you who charlie anderson was but now im stoked thinking of how much more disruptive our D is going to be with him in there.

2. Matt Roth: i hated the guy and was hoping we would get rid of him, but now with his work ethic he seems like a solid backup in this league that we can plug in and wont loose a step, which is invaluable with the high rate of injuries. I dont think hes a starter but definatly a great backup and a good sitational guy.

3. Salary Cap: Talk about an edge over other NFL teams. For once in a long time we stopped wasting money on old vets that other teams released and are beginning to build through the draft. Nothing has made me more PROUD to be a dolphin then the way we instantly became credible with Parcells. His no nonsense approach that he brought in with Sparano is the REASON we beat the PATS Now we can bring in other Vets who work their tail off and maybe we can become what the Pats were, a team whom other players go to for the simple fact of winning a title. Dam i can not wait to read a headline like that in the Herald.

The whole meaning of this post was to rattle off some thoughts because i am boiling with pride right now. I hope next year we bring in some youth at the Nose Tackle position so we can be set there for 10 years on the d-line and a ILB and i'll be happy. But "In Parcells We Trust"

I agree that a stellar ILB and a longterm NT answer are major priorities for the defense. Bart Scott should be available in FA next offseason and Maualuga and Laurenitis may be had in the draft to solve the ILB problem.

Great Post!

Here are my comments:

I have to agree that they have been almost perfect with their decisions, the only one i am still waiting for to hit his stride is Wilford. No matter what I dont blame The Trifecta if he doesnt come through, After his last year it look like he would have beena perfect position receiver to compliment Ginn(thats for another post) as the speedy receiver.

I think we really need to focus heavily and first on improving our DB's and WR's. This is by far our weakest area, then we can start finishing the little touches with other positions.

I agree. Especially with #1. I was actually upset JT was traded. However, it's wierd how the chips have just seem to have fallen in our favor. If you think about it, JT was a "Parcells" guy. He's a speedy tall lengthy agile guy. He would fit perfectly in Parcells scheme. And I also tend to beleive that is one of the reasons parcelkls was so inclined on not trading JT away. When JT blew away his chances of being a dolphin, that is when Parcells had enough. Fortunetley for us, it turned out to be for the better.

You don't hear anyone crying for JT or saying how we should've kept JT.

I can't wait to see what we get for JT in the draft!!! I hope BP and Co. hits a winner again...the way these guys are making picks...having an extra 2 is great!!!

Cant say enough about Bill Parcells. From the second I heard he was coming here, i knew he would be the one to turn this franchise around, the man has been around winning football for very long..he knows how to build a winner, and how to motivate guys. And also...what a draft so far.......
