Peyton Manning is an offensive genius, Agree?
He is dedicated and a student of the game. He has enough people skills to run a team. He is well spoken and can handle the media. He is young and in touch with the new generation of players. He carries a swagger that players, coaches, and fans respect. He appears to have the teaching skills needed to be a coach. He is loyal to his fans and franchise. Picking up Manning after a Indianapolis release is risky. Agree?
Why not talk to Indianapolis in order to get a feel for what the intentions are with Peyton? Why not talk to Peyton to see if he would be interested in some type of player-coach situation? If so lock him up to a contract that has him moving into a coaching spot if he is unable to play. Groom him to be the head coach or let him learn on the fly. The way I see it, he has been the colts offensive coordinator for years. He called more plays than Tom Mohr did for sure. He has as much experience as a OC as many of the top canidates. If you want to rebuild the franchise do around somebody who is worth it.
Ross said he was looking for a young Don Shula. Well in my opinion there is only man out there who fills that bill and that is Peyton Manning.
