- we are incapable of scoring in an offense that requires a dominant running game to work. in order to move the ball 70 yards we need 12 plays or more. when you're struggling with consistency and execution, the more plays you have to run the more opportunity you create for mistakes. there is no big play threat because the big plays in this offense come from trickeration and max protection playaction bombs. they are "all or nothing" plays, and thus far all we've gotten from them is nothing. we don't make the opposition defend the entire field...ever, which makes it that much easier for them and that much more difficult for us. it's time to get peele and barnes off the field and revert back to the linehan spread offense we ran last season. you know, the one saban said would not change even though our OC's did? he lied...

- it took injuries to 3 of our CBs sunday (daniels, goodman and lehan) for jason allen to finally see the field defensively. what makes this even more frustrating is the play of travares tillman. tillman committed 2 penalties and was abused by the jets. he is completely lost out there, and whats worse is he's lost without talent or ball skills. so, does that mean allen might crack the lineup? nope, yeremiah bell will start this weekend against the packers. it's one thing when a talented veteran secondary puts a rookie on the bench, but i don't think anyone will argue that is the case here. just how bad is our #15 pick? if you're good, they make room for you. the only room being made for jason allen right now is on the bench.

-after 10 games it appears houck has found the best 5 combination for the offensive line. mcintosh is our best pass blocking LT, and shelton and carey on the right side combine to make a pretty decent run blocking tandem. the only question is whether james can get his act together at LG. he's been hampered by a knee injury, but i'm not sure that is the main reason for his poor play this season. i wonder if it weren't for james' contract would berger be in there right now.

Um, give Allen a chance, he missed most of training camp. If he doesn't get on the field next season, then criticize, but give him time. Plus he was #16, not 15

He's already missed 6 weeks at playing at safety....and are the Dolphins safeties so much better than a first round selection?

They shouldn't be, but unfortunately they are. I still don't understand how we get rid of Lance Shulters (4 ints) and replace him with this riff raff. Why hasn't his name come up more when we are talking about safeties? Letting him go is starting to look like a pretty stupid decision from a coach, eh hem, 'genius' whose specialty is supposed to be the secondary.

Ugh. Enough of this. I'll use larger and bolded text for this point because NO ONE seems to get this:

JASON ALLEN BACKS UP RENALDO HILL, NOT TRAVARES TILLMAN!

Hill has played fine all season long, which is why Allen is not starting over him. If injuries keep up, this will change. But right now, Allen is not sitting because he sucks. Hagan didn't get any playing time until Booker went down, and I don't see people labeling Hagan a bust. Lots of complaining about Ronnie, though.

The difference is that Hagan was a third-round pick, and Allen and Brown were first-rounders. However, I do not think Brown is a bust, and I don't think Allen is either (although I would like to see him on the field more, if nothing else, why not have him play corner?).

Jason Allen backs up R. Hill and not Tillman. They play different positions. It seems very unlikely that Allen would unseat Hill who has arguably the most experience in Saban's system besides Travis Daniels. Bell will be a an upgrade over Tillman.

so....i guess if jason allen was a bad *** instead of MAKING ROOM FOR HIM SOMEWHERE we'd just sit him, because by god that depth chart is set in stone and he's gonna be a FS and nothing else, as is renaldo hill.

DUDE if Allen was worth a **** he would be on the field. they would move guys around.

just like daunte's health was an excuse to start joey, saban all of the sudden is playing the FS/SS card with jason allen, when he's preached before that we just have 2 safeties and dont really have a FS/SS

like allen... when carey was a rookie in 04, everyone said the same thing, oh how can he not crack the starting lineup with how bad the line is, hes a bust... blah blah... and now hes our best olineman... people need patience...
