Remember how we sucked last year but were so Pumped for one game that we Smacked New England?????? Beware the BeefAlow!

The only thing HUGE about this game is the amount of ridicule I will be dumping on the Buffalo fans...

I hope so! I think saban unlike Wanny will have them ready to play. And I dont think it will include rat traps in their lockers.

I don't understand the topic says "This game is HUGE" and then you read the thread and it gives no reason why this game is "HUGE". It just says 'watchout'.

WTF?

Dude if you have to ask that question the you really dont get it. Buffalo is getting beat all over the place the last few weeks so the human tendency of taking an opponent too lightly comes in to play if you will. You see last year New England was on a roll and thought that we were going to be pushovers and yet they (New England) lost the game to the supposed weaker team. Thus in conclusion the Dolphins shouldnt let buffalo's seemingly poor play as of late cloud their collective judements and cause them to let their guard down and get an As@ WHOPPIN!

That would be WHY we shouldn't overlook them. But that makes no arguement on why this is a HUGE game. It's just, don't overlook them. So how does that make this game HUGE? Overlooking does not equal HUGE.

If we loose and everyone else wins then the standings are as follows:
NE 3-2
Miami 2-2
Buffalo 2-3
Jets 2-3

And that is the worst case scenario we are still in 2nd place. So how is this game huge? Do me a favor and don't talk down to me about 'not getting it'.

Thanks

Man your making my head hurt! O.K. This game is meaning less. If we loose this game then we will be 0-2 in the divison and in second place. And Im pretty sure that that will place the jets and buffalo in a much better position should the need arise for tie breakers or just for stats. So I dont think it would be great if we lost the game. But hey thats just me.

We were 4-12 last year, and 1-5 against AFC East opponents. Vegas picked us to win only four or five games this year, and we are 2.5 point dogs to the Bills. We have Saban as our coach, who I don't think is the kind to let the guys lose concentration. I really don't think we are going to go into Buffalo overconfident, or taking the Bills lightly

This IS a huge game for another reason: the Pats and the Jets are both going against tough teams. There's a damn good chance they both lose. If that happens, and we win, the AFC East will look like this:

Miami 3-1
Pats 2-3
Jets 1-4
Bills 1-4

and how freaking sweet would THAT be after last season and all the dissing we took from those homers in the national media????

Jumping to the extremes? Nobody said it was meaningless.

At least now your making an aurguement on why this game is HUGE. I was just trying to say the topic of the thread was misleading. Thats all.

So how is this game huge?

Thanks

we're already 0-1 in the division, a loss to Buffalo and we're going to have a very tough time winning a tiebreaker. if that doesn't make this game huge then i don't know what does.

there are about 9-10 teams are gonna be looking at the playoffs(NE, Miami, Pitts, Cincy, Indy, Jacksonville, KC, Denver, SD, and Oak). that's 6 teams going for 2 wild card slots. thankfully KC, Oak, SD, and Jacksonville all have a division record of 0-1 at the moment as well. knowing that provides a bit of comfort.

When you win your division you dont have to worry about making the playoffs with tie breakers :).

Again I was pointing out the topic didnt match the content of the thread. I just got side tracked on the Huge arguement. There is going to be plenty of games down the road that are going to carry much more importance. So I am just going to have agree to diagree with you guys.

I will say its huge because its a game we should win. Plus we have 2 tough games ahead with Tampa and Kansas City. If we lose to Buffalo......we could lose 3 in a row. So we need the Bills game.

Mod Edit: Since you're new, please read the TOS again. Only one pic allowed in sigs. I kept your Dan the Man pic. njfinfan

It's just that it would have been nice to know all that up front, so that we could discuss it...on its own, your first post didn't say much that related to the title of the thread.

Everyone assumes that when someone posts a thread, they have something - a subject, an idea - they want to discuss. And everyone opens the thread with the hope of being able to bounce that subject back and forth with the thread starter and others. When they open it and find just "Remember how we sucked last year but were so Pumped for one game that we Smacked New England?????? Beware the BeefAlow!" they don't know what to make of it.

See what I'm saying? I'm not trying to knock you, just explain why you're getting some flack.
