is it me or did Henne seem to have more of a "command" of what was going on at the line than he has in years past. I know it's early and that game and performances against the Falcons were pretty much irrelevant given the lack of game planning and lack of pre-season camps.

I am not saying he is the answer at all but it is nice to see him actually show some kind of leadership at the line especially in a more pronounced fashion. The first pick was crappy fasano all day long but the second one was troubling given those are the kind of throws he is "famous" for that lead to interceptions. I heard that Bess was in the wrong spot and maybe in Dabolls offense he was throwing to a spot instead of the target but still he has to see there is nothing there, especially with a wideout that is about 2 feet tall.

Lastly another thing I sensed in this win is whether you hate the F.O. and sparano or not, you have to sense there is something different with the young guys on the team. Normally when we would be that far down and the subs are in it appeared we just gave up and went home with the "L". I felt something different here like the guys were actually playing to win. It was different and nice. Let's hope it carries into the season.

Just finished watching the Browns game and it looks like Colt McCoy has already surpassed Henne in just his 2nd season.

Also let's not forget that Marshall didn't play and neither did reggie bush. That had to factor into the options Henne would have had versus a team that is a much better team than we are.

You mean the guy we passed on for John Jerry. Don't worry - this regime will start drafting QBs soon.....right after they finish perfecting this OL.

Yeah that 1st INT was all Fasano...but Henne still blows. His attitude after throwing picks is even worse.

McCoy threw a pass that if Henne threw you guys would have dismantled him on.. McCoy threw a High very back shoulder pass to ben Watson when he was wide open running down field, Watson had to do an amazing 180 catch.. Ill wait to judge McCoy when the regular season starts. Half these qbs have looked amazing...

I agree with the fact that Henne has to grow leaps and bounds this year to prove to me that he is what we are looking for and right now I think we need to move on based on the past few years but I will give him one more year to change my mind. That being said, he is learning a new system and I don't know if that 2nd Int with Bess is the result of a bad throw singularly or if Bess was supposed to be somewhere he wasn't and Henne just threw the rock and both guys were wrong....basically the preliminary result of learning a new system. However as stated before, those are the throws he has a history of throwing picks on. I want to see Henne implementing the entire system with the starters and not a mish-mash of starters and backups. The o-line play wasn't so hot last night.

I personally saw a line call and leadership improvement from him. Let's see how it plays out.

"Hey, the baby said mommy!"

"Oh my god, I'm so excited! On her 5th birthday!"

Henne worked on his feet and nimbleness which won't hurt - some of you are "really" blind to your bias - Henne is your starter and the regime is putting their jobs on the line - Henne has no contract for next year - I see a guy playing hard for one -

You must be suggesting he was going commando. I certainly didnt see him in command of anything.

You wouldn't give Henne a compliment even if he actually became a productive qb in the NFL. Your blind hatred for the guy doesn't allow you to see ANY kind of improvement in him as a quarterback, no matter how small. It's cool though. At least you are one of the few people who actually stick to a conviction about a player.
