Yeah we lost. Yeah it sucks. Yeah we miss the playoffs. However our playoff hopes were gashed weeks ago with the loss to the Bills. We were on life support the last few weeks and couldn't capitalize on other teams mishaps. Oh well.....

In terms of the future, what could be better?

I don't know how NFL draft tie breakers work, i think it's strength of schedule. But by finishing 7-9 and allowing so many teams in both the AFC and NFC to pass us at 8-8 and 9-7 (Carolina, San Francisco, New York Jets, Pittsburgh, Houston, Baltimore, Denver, New York Giants, Atlanta and hopefully the Titans) and then a couple of teams to catch us at 7-9 (Jacksonville, Chicago) we will have MUCH better draft picks as opposed to finishing 8-8 and out of the playoffs, or 9-7.

Not to mention by finishing 3rd place in the AFC East we'll set ourselves up with a 3rd place schedule next year. No more running the gauntlet as divisional champs like this year.

It's a glass half full approach, but it's something.

well, if we're going to use the picks on players like Pat white then it doesn't matter.

Ozzy rules!!

AFter reading the title I was ready to come in and ask what you had been smoking, but you are right. Even if we had won we still would have been out of the playoffs. And even though we lost we at least got to watch an exciting game.

and at least we went down fighting. Unlike the ***** Giants.

Now the cherry on the top of today will occur when the Jets lose tonight.

Then we'll be fooled again if MIA goes 10-6, 11-5 on a 3rd place schedule next year.

We did go down fighting with the last of our players. too bad we didnt get to see sheets or turner, though. anyone have any idea of our draft position? approx

Your heart always wants to win, but after a loss like this your brain takes over and you realize it is best for the long run. Now we have to make good draft picks to help this team.

i must say i agree 100% kinda wondering if parcells was thinking the same thing?
