Miami Dolphins running back Senorise Perry is making a strong push to make the Dolphins’ 53-man roster. CHARLES TRAINOR JR ctrainor@miamiherald.com

The media buzz regarding Dolphins running backs this summer has been about three players and three players only:

Frank Gore. Kenyan Drake. Kalen Ballage.

Mea culpa.

Senorise Perry has gotten the short shrift.

And that’s on us.

I think I'll get along look in the next couple preseason games and if he does what he did last game he'll have a spot

are we going to carry four running backs?

that's the question because he's not getting ahead of any of those guys.

If they can find him a spot on ST it could work. Not sure the breakdown of all of that, though.

I'm pretty sure he will make the team tho he might not get any carries in the regular season. He should be playing ST's tho.

Special teams is key for now they need him for insurance if when Drake gets nicked up.

Fun stuff. Sinorise Perry has flashed in the preseason before.

I don't think he's a BAD back...he seems to have good instincts and vision. He just doesn't have the physical traits that the other backs on the roster have. He's not particularly shifty, or strong, or able to make jump cuts, or break a lot of tackles. He's a good, fast 1-cut back for a ZBS. If he were pressed into duties in the regular season, he'd probably do okay.

Apologies to those who hate the word "flashed." But I think it's a fairly appropriate word.

I think he looks like the 3rd back to me as of right now, primary job is to run the ball and he showed up vs Tampa

While Ballage looks like a complete back, he didn't look nearly as good as Senorise Perry running the ball

We need to see Senorise Perry play against tougher competition

If he can play like that against a 1st string defense in a game he could be gold, was some nifty running - excellent vision, doubt he can block as well a Ballage and not sure of either receiving ability - I personally would want the runner

With Ballage having an early season concussion, it be wise to keep him on the roster..
