The Dolphins made unsuccessful attempts to sign free agent quarterbacks David Garrard and Jake Delhomme this week, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora.

Chad Henne's (shoulder) season is clearly in doubt. Although the Dolphins couldn't get either free agent to bite, La Canfora says they may make another attempt. The only quarterback behind Matt Moore right now is Pat Devlin. It's unclear if Garrard or Delhomme want to play for an 0-4 team -- or if either one would start over Moore.

Jake "turnover machine" Delhomme said pass? No one wants to be a part of this mess.

Just read the whole story... turns out Ireland called Mrs. Delhomme a hooker.

Perfect. Dont want them coming and maybe giving us an extra 2 or 3 wins. Its all falling into place :D

If that's true (and that's a big condition), Ireland probably lowballed each of em and refused to guarantee a starting spot or any monies beyond this year. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing considering both are bozos. Still regardless of the terms, it says more about both of them than it does about us turning down an opportunity to perhaps rehab their terrible downward sliding reputations..regardless of the relative compensation involved.

I never thought I would see the day when the Fins' would be courting Delhomme to come here. We are talking about Jake Delhomme!

Didnt Moore take over for Delhomme and then get replaced by Clausen?

Small world indeed.

We don't want Delhomme anyway.. the guy is worse than Moore. Gerrard likely wants to be the undisputed starter with a guarantee to compete next year. He'll likely command a lot of money.

No need to be desperate and sell the farm on stopgaps... we've been down that road before.

doing anything they can to try and win meaningless games...and save their jobs

jake delhommes horrid

I believe this guy is still available.
