This game from Tua solidifies Flores future

The game that Tua had will probably be the nail in the coffin for Flores's head coaching career if he had any chance still left. He was actively sabotaging Tua because he didnt think he was good but as it turns out, like most of us who watched Tua at Alabama, we knew he was good and we have been waiting for this type of performance. Tua is getting his payback on Flores now!

Yeah, because you first dug up a fossil to design an offense centered around your journeyman QB’s strengths then decided to throw a still recovering Tua to the wolves early during his rookie season — despite no camp, no preseason — when you had previously stated you wouldn’t then followed that up by firing that fossil coordinator to then hire dual inexperienced coordinators the next season.

All while chasing another QB already accused of misconduct. All while having no clue how field a competent supporting cast around the current QB.

Yeah, it’s beyond baffling how Tua didn’t succeed to the level everyone hoped while Flores was the HC.

I get that but I think Tua has moved on. He doesn’t even see Flores in the rear view anymore

I actually believe, even with the lack of talent around him the past 2 years, that if they just had a line to protect Tua for more than 2.5 secs a play, that he would have been way more successful than he was and everyone would already know he is our future.

I totally agree with this statement. He woulda found targets if he had at least 2 seconds to throw the ball. His protection was an abomination the last 2 years

I will be extremely surprised if any owner would hire Flores to be a head coach again. When you sue the league and go after the owner who hired you in the first place, no owner is going to risk hiring someone with that history to be his teams HC.

Tomlin was the one HC who was willing to hire Flores as an assistant but otherwise I doubt he would be working in the NFL today.

Even though it was apparent that Flores was incapable of bringing in even a serviceable offensive staff, his lawsuit against several teams would make him untouchable to many teams. I think that was the nail in his coffin for his head coaching pursuits.

I think someone, at some point, will risk bringing him in as a DC. I think that is a possibility. It will depend then on how he handles himself in that role. So many guys get second chances. I'm not predicting he will, but if he, as a DC, creates a man-eating defense, some owner, somewhere, MAY consider it.

Gase got a second chance, when his incompetence should have been obvious, so who knows. The direction the league seems to be headed towards young, cerebral offensive guys, who can relate to the players as ppl, though.
