Believe it or not this is the easiest game we have had this year.

We ALWAYS play NE tough (except last year). They are starting a baby QB, they have NO running game. They have NO Asante Samuel, who has been our nemesis. They can be beat this year.

If we win this one, then I think that will go a LOOOOOOOONG way into getting the players to believe in Tony. I think Joey is 100% on the money. I just wish he would have SHUT UP.

Just open up the playcalling and take some chances, what do we have to lose??

I think we shock the world on Sunday.

No it won't.

I agree with you that the NE v MIA games are always wonderful games to watch, fought to the end.
I agree that if we win this it will go a "LOOONG" way for the players confidence.

I don't agree that it'll determine the season though. Ok, they have a "Baby QB" and no Asante Samuel. Think for a second, who got to the QB the most throughout these years? Zach and Jason which we don't have. We are VERY young, I'm a little concerned about how much they want this win. Sure they all know that theres a rivalry between the Phins and Patsies but do they FEEL it? ZT was our emotional leader out there throughout the years. Also remember that we're pretty young at WR, so Asante or no Asante, there's going to be soem pressure.

On a more concrete basis, our D Line is looking great and theres no doubt in my mind that they'll pressure the QB.

I'm very excited for this game, and hopefully will be the most interesting game of the season.

Takin a chance is what got Boldin aTD on there first drive.
We need to keep the DBs back and we HAVE to get pressure on Cassel. Makin him get rid of it early. this will give Moss no time 2 break into open field.
Just my opinion.

That wasnt taking a chance that was lack of communication, which is why Crocker is on the bench now.

upsets happen on any given Sunday...it may be too early in the season for our team to gel and get that upset. I for one will be giddy as hell if we win though!
The good thing is that we (knock on wood) haven't been hit by the injury bug so my thought is that our players will only get better and hopefully the coaching staff will make the necessary adjustments so we don't give up the long ball.
Good luck Fins!

No it won't.

The success or not of this season will be determined by the improvement of the OL and the DL, the two areas that were addressed in the draft and FA. If the performance of the lines is good to very good by the end of the season, I would considered it a success, independently of how many games we win. If we are confident that both lines are set, then we can address other positions such as DBs, WRs, etc.

Regarding the NE game, our chances are not good. As far as I know, Moss and Welker are going to play, and the defense is still good. However, strangest things have happened, so we'll keep the faith.

It has nothing to do with anything. This staff is treating this season like a 16 game preseason for next year.

No it won't. Our season doesn't hinge on this one game. This season is about improving and showing the coaches and front office who needs to be replaced.

As much as I want to win, the people on here saying we will win this game will be the first ones on Sunday crying that the whole season is lost. It's nice to be positive, but if you are set in your mind that we are going to win, you are only setting yourself for more disappointment this year.

Of course not. It's not like we were favored to win the AFC East.

Our season is 16 games long, it would be great if we won, but one game doesn't 'define' our season especially not the 3rd game after a 1-15 year.

As for us always playing the Pats tough in the past, most of those players are now playing for the Pats or on other teams. Our team this year is a completly differnt bunch of players on both sides of the ball.

Joey needs to learn to keep his big yap shut. The media are going to play cut and paste with every quote they get their greasy hands on, he's got to know this by now...

Easiest game? Ha.

We won't play the Patriots nearly as close as we did the Jets.

Lets wait unitl the 2nd half of the season before throwing in the towel. Lets look for improvement first then look for the wins a little later. Too much churning has been going on with the roster to get a great idea of where we are yet. We will know "later" if this is working right now it is a guess. Plus I would disagree with you because Bill P has been through this 5 times more than you and I have so based on past performances your chances of being right are not favorable!

I think the Phins start the season 0-4, and finish either 4-12 or 5-11 and get a top 10 pick. I didnt realize Maroney was chopped liver in the running game. I love how fans are still talking EASY wins with a team thats lost 20 of its last 21. Classic. lol.

Go into every game with hope but remember we are a 12.5 point underdog according to the betting line in Vegas. The Arizona game was a disaster and they were only favored 6.5 points over us. We're on the road and have yet to do much in the regular season for us to build on. Maybe that last drive against the Cards but that involves Henne playing QB. Maybe if Penny gets out to a brutal start we should give Henne some series in the second quarter because I doubt the Pats prepared for Henne so it might catch them by surprise. What do we have to lose by trying it? We could always evaluate how he did during halftime and maybe even start Penny in the second half, if he's going badly bring back Henne for the forth quarter. I'm just looking for a way to try to change things up from how predictable our offense has been. Let's throw something at them they haven't studied all week and see if we can loosen up the way that defenses have been playing us so far this season.

As dumb and just flat out false a post as I've seen.

1. That baby QB your talking about has been in the Patriots system for 4 years and knows the Pats system far better than either Noodle Arm or Henne knows the Phins system. By the way, that Baby is 2-0 so far what's the Phins record again?
2. No running game? Do you even watch football? The Patriots have put up over 100 yards in both games so far.
3. The secondary is no worse the where without Samuel, and will not be tested by anything the Phins have for sure.

Phins get killed this weekend.
