"9. The 2008 Miami Dolphins remind me of the '06 Jets, who surprised everyone in Eric Mangini's first season by going 10-6 and reaching the playoffs. Both teams featured an uncharacteristically healthy Chad Pennington, feasted on easy schedules and caught opponents off-guard with gimmick plays. But their overall talent probably wasn't at playoff level. The Jets lost in the wild-card round and fell to 4-12 the next season. Expect the same thing in Miami."

Dorkyboy.. will be eating crow when we win the division.. and follow that up by winning the division next year.

Even if Pennington goes down next year... we have a VERY capable back up.
 
His comparing of this Dolphins team to the 06 Jets isnt a bad comparison. But him saying what the Dolphins are going to do next season is pretty stupid.

i agree with you on that...i don't think our coaching staff is going to allow a let down next season...and i REALLY don't think the players will allow that either....
 
f*** him. wat an idiot.what he dosent seem to realize is r schedule wasnt rlly easy till like week 10, and even from then we still had to play the pats, a 49er team which is improved, and we still got the jets, so r schedule isnt as easy as it seems overall, it only seems like that bc all the easy games are at the end of the season and bunched all together. we only have 5 rlly easy games this season[ raiders,chiefs,seahawks,rams, and 49ers]. at least we r beating all the teams we r supposed to beat compared to the jets who lose to all the teams they r supposed to beat. there r plenty of teams with tons of easy games on there schedule, and yet those teams end up losing to some of those so called crappy teams. so this idiot better shutup because we r doing just wat we r supposed to do and thats beat the teams on r schedule unlike the jets.

That guys an idiot!! he doesnt know what the fins are going to do in the offseason to make that stupid comment. we are this good now well under the salery cap, wait until tuna starts spending some money next year & we fill up the gaps DUMB***

I agree we are a lot like the jets team he speaks of. We don't have the talent of half the teams in the NFL. We have had a easy schedule and had the ball bounce our way a few games, we could easily be 5-9. However I feel next year we will probably be considerably better in talent and depending on the way the ball bounces we could have a better record or worse record than we have this year. The NFL is hard to predict but the part that he leaves out, which I feel is the most important part, is we are IMO heading in the right direction. We are younger, bigger, and with the exception of Ginn tougher. We have a GREAT staff from the FO to the coaching staff, that coaches with passion and knows how to win. This is not something that could be said about the dophins in the last decade.
 
Sparano and Tuna aren't puszies like Tannenbaum and Mangina. They'd never let this team grow complacent. A few weeks ago on ESPN, I saw Will Allen being interviewed about the regime differences and he basically shared that watching your teammates screw up and quickly exit through a revolving door tends to instill the players with a healthy dose of fear and discipline.

he has a very good point b/c next year we have an extremely tough schedule and for pennington to continue this level o fplay again next year will eb VERY difficult.

we will get new talent on this team but they wont play wiht the anger they had after a 1 and 15 joke of the century outing.

ITs possible we dont do as well so dont take evreything for granted ppl.
