enigmatics
Go get me a juice box!
Well hopefully all talks of a division title and a successful trip to the playoffs is over with.
At any rate.......... the guy next to me at the bar today said it best when he said, "They're a bunch of boneheads." I simply have to agree. Isn't it shocking that we can never take advantage of another team's weakness(es)? Absolutely shocking. Again, the Patriots are horrid against the run and our playcalling never allowed for the running game to get going. We made them look like the stout, crushing D they used to look like against the run. Ya Fer-rotting passed for more than his usual 120 yards, yet it was too be expected that against that crippled Pats secondary he would at least hit 230+. It wasn't a pretty 230+ plus though. In fact, it was as shotty as usual and highly inflated due to his 47 attempts. The guy has absolutely no touch, none.
Boneheads though. They simply do not have the mental makeup of a successful team. Chambers was his normal self........able to make a great TD grab one minute, and drop passes the next. He had 2 TD's, but let's be honest, the second one was blown coverage as Assante Samual let him off into the secondary thinking a safety as going to be there to pick him up. But again, we watched Chambers drop or allow passes to sail right threw his arms. He does not possess the concentration level necessary to take advantage of his physical skills. Only on jump balls does he go up to get it, otherwise he waits for the ball to come to him.
McMichael fumbling the ball. I mean it's one drive-killing play after another with these guys. I mean does Saban have to hold practice on how to hold the football in the open field? I thought these guys would know those kinds of things by now.
What happened to Olindo Mare?
Can somebody please explain to me how Heath Evans is able to rumble threw our D-line like the second coming of Mike Alstott? Seriously, am I the only one who, after having seen that, thinks that Saban made a bad personnel move cutting that man? That was an absolute joke and I knew it spelled doom.
When the game got down to crunch time, once again the D simply could not get off the field. ....Remember when Wanny was here we used to all moan over the fact that he never paid attention to the small details???? Well it appears he's not the only, for what the bloody h*ll was with those two fades to Chambers in the endzone on our last drive INTO THE SUN???? The first try didn't work and then WE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!! :shakeno: Is it just me or is it not a smart idea to run that play when Chambers has to turn his back to find the ball and the sun is BLASTING his eyes? Was it inconcieveable to have Chambers run that same route on the right side where the shade was?
By the way I think the Ricky of old is LOOOOOOOOOOONG gone. When was the last time you saw a 190lb defensive back absolutely crush Ricky the way that Assante Samuel did?
I never figured I'd ever get to the point where I just want to put in other players to see how they'd perform, but suddenly I've found myself there after what's transpired the last couple of weeks.
