This is EXACTLY why Ireland needs to go. Everyone please read (factually based info)

Why not wait and see what actually takes place?

Go for a walk, talk to the wife, rent a movie.

It may be shocking to think, but they could unload Jake Long on draft day. Trade him and his salary away. Sounds crazy, doesn't it.
Plug in Murtha, who actually did a nice job before getting injured himself.
I am not in favor of this, but Ireland can come with some crazy shiit!
Something to think about.

EDIT:
And another thing, with the new collective barganing agreement, I wonder if teams will be purging themselves of the players that are now over paid? Essentially rebuilding to the new CBA realities?

This is from Dave Hyde and this is perfectly said...
Nickname trial: The Bottom Line. Because look at the cost. If the Dolphins sign Eric Winston (est. $6-8 mill) after they just signed Lydon Murtha ($1.9 mill), they will have spent upwards of $10 million for a starting right tackle and a back-up tackle - two commodities most teams find in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of drafts (or lower). Throw that together with the No. 1 pick overall (Jake Long) and highest pick ever for a center (15th, Mike Pouncey) and look at The Bottom Line. OK, rant's over
Actually, there are no facts there, unless you can cite sources.

Your crazy stupid as a franchise if you don't aleast try to fix your OL. Our OL was horrible last year. Signing Murtha to a very small 2nd rounder tender offer is common sense. Winston would be an outstanding acorn that many franchises would line up to sign hence atleast 10 of the 31 are ready to do so.
