The stage has been set, the possibility of Ronnie Brown not playing or playing in limited action.

The number #1 defense in the NFL against the Run (Minnesota), with 2 great interior lineman.

And from what I understand Fred Smoot might not play again this week.

This is the week where we need Joey and those receivers to step up huge, I expect a lot of passes this week.

I am not a Joey hater, or a Daunte Hater, cause IMO its the system now not the QB, but I know many of you finheaven fans out there are Joey Haters.

It is my opinion (im not an expert) that this game falls soley on Joey's shoulders and the wr's, regardless if Ronnie plays or not.

The question is in theory if Joey goes out throws for 300 yards and 3TD's, are you prepared to realize that this is not the Joey From Detroit?

And 1 more point, im not sure how old most of you are, but never forget that Steve Young was awful at Tampa Bay (who as a whole were an awful team), and sat on the bench in SF for a few years before finally getting a chance to show his stuff.

He played his college ball at BYU, not exactly a powerhouse.

I'm just saying! :)

All those reasons you listed are just the reasons Joey will most likely play poorly.....

I dont hate Joey, but he hasnt done anything this year to make me think he can win a game that is placed on his shoulders.

I think we can have enough success running the ball to keep them honest, but I'd be happier if RB was at full speed.

I believe MN has a good run defense, but I think it's inflated due to the extremely poor passing defense -- teams don't need to run against them.

If we can have success running in Chicago, I believe we can run with anyone. But I do think the passing game will need to step up this week -- I also believe the running backs and RB need to be a big part of that passing game.

Bottom line: Joey needs to play smart in this game -- and every game.

Don't worry. Our defense isn't exactly a pushover, and their offense isn't exactly the greatest show on turf. I think our Offense can play better against their D than their O can against our D. All Joey needs to do is pitch a shutout in the INT department, lead long, time consuming scoring drives like he did against KC, Ronnie get about 75-80 yards on the ground, and the game will be a W.

this is the thig guys , if vikes dt kevin williams has a big day then joey will have a bad day cause kevin williams is one of the best dt's in football. here is what needs to happen in order for us to win.

our receiving corp needs to catch the ball.
randy needs to get with it and play lights out.
our oline must pass block well.
joey must get the ball downfield.
ronnie needs to be healthy.

vip dolphins need to wear the aqua jerseys for good luck.
i need to have a keg on hand and i need a woman.
so who is the expert on women here at fin heaven?

If this game is on Joey's shoulders, we're in a lot of trouble. The key to this winning streak has been a commitment to the run and stellar defense.

Another very important key you for got to mention...Joey not turning the ball over

2- tds for chambers and 160 yards receiving off of ten catches

He threw two picks in the Bears game...this past week was the first time he didn't turn the ball over, so to say that his not turning the ball over was a key to the two game winning streak is an inaccurate statement.

And Joey not taking sacks! He did a very nice job in KC when Mularkey kept calling bootlegs trying to get him killed. I couldn't believe he kept getting the ball off without Jarred Allen ripping his head off.

Yea ust like every previous week was the weak when our offense "breaks out" the key to keeping the streak going is about defense and running the ball. i dont hate joey i just realize what he is, a backup quarterback. people need to stop riding his nuts, the guy has been in the nfl 4 or 5 yrs and hasnt done anything special. sure i remeber when he was in college and was awesome but thats just not the case anymore. the only thing that worries me is i think harrington is probably a better qb than cpep, injured or not

I am starting CC this week and looking for Joey to have a big game. Hopefully Ronnie will be able to play, but the Vikings have one of the best run defenses, so look for Joey to throw it 50+ times....lots of slant passes to Welker, followed by some long balls to CC, Booker and Hagan.

You know Im really getting tired of all the Joey bashing going on here. Do I think Joey is the best thing since Marino, No I most certainly don't. But he has been doing his job. Let me repeat this, He has been doing HIS job! And because others have started to do theirs, we are finally winning some games now. He has had less time on offense this season before he finally stepped in for Daunte than anyone else out there.
How about this, why don't all of our STUD players, that everyone can agree on is our STUD players, why don't they start stepping up. Chambers and Booker and McMike, why don't they and the others step it up and quit making mistakes themselves.
This is his first year, and if nothing else, since the time he has stepped on the field, he has continually had a positive attitude. And at the time, I believe was one of the things we needed most of all.
Football is a TEAM sport, no he's not perfect, but I believe he has been blending nicely with the team, so far at least. How bout some of his offensive teammates pick him up some of the slack here and quit making their bone headed mistakes as well.
Give Joey a little respect here guys, at least he is playing for our Dolphins, and at least his attitude is great, and he is giving us his all on every play. So far thats good enough for me.
