yeah its like Christmas eve and we're gonna get yellow sweaters instead of shiny toys.

Maybe im a bit cynical, but i don't believe anything about Free Agency until the paperwork is done and they are officially on the team.

Except our parents are poor.

Free agency would be awesome, but I don't really like the draft. Branch? Traylor wants to come back and then we have Manny and Evans. I like Ugoh a lot though. Sorry I can't say I like the draft overall though. But the FA would be amazing!

Hopefully, we sign guys fast. I'm tired of year after year watching the ESPNEWS and seeing the Redskins and other teams signing guys right out of the gate. While we wait for days sometimes weeks before we do anything.

I hope that we get a player like Porter by the weekend.

4 OL free agent possibilities

I was kicking around a few ideas during the snowstorm today and I narrowed my list down to four guys that may be potential targets to improve our OLINE. Feel free to give your input and/or opinion on any of these guys.
These are my thoughts.

My list of four includes,
Eric Steinbach
Kris Dielman
Leonard Davis
Derrick Dockery

Eric Steinbach.. I like this young cat from Iowa. He is only 26 and I like the way he uses his technique as his skills. NOt the most physical guy your gonna find but he could really help with whatever young gun OLINE guy we bring in. I have also heard he could possibly convert to center and actually play it well. I like him, but I think he will cost too much.

Kris Dielman... I love the fact that he has already spent some time in cams offense. This seems like a pretty logical pickup to me. He is more physical than steinbach and is also young. We could lock him up for a longterm contract. Problem is he will be too spendy too I think.

Leonard Davis... former second overall pick. So far I haven't been impressed. I added him to the list anyway though, because I think he will be much cheaper and mueller stated he may go quantity over quality, making him a potential target. I think houck could do wonders for this kid. He's 2 years older than the dielman and steinbach so his window for the future is slightly smaller.

Derrick Dockery... He's huge. 6'6" 345. He pushes people around. He's a young stud too. He could also come much cheaper than the top two. I think he has pretty good potential. Again houck could probably love to show what he can do with this guy.

I think the bottom two are the more likely scenarios because they will be much cheaper. I really hope they land dielman somehow, I just don't know if the dolphins brass will pull the trigger when they see the pricetag.

I would like to hear some of your guy's input on any of these guys. I am trying to be a realist here. That's why I went with the list. We aren't going to get the absolute best guy at every position. What do you think?

Except our parents are poor.

Poor and unemployed. I have some tempered excitement, but I get up for free agency every year, and every year I'm massively let down. We usually wind up with one or two second tier guys, or guys who are old and past their prime. It figures in a year that we have upwards of $15 mil in cap room, all these other teams have $25-30 mil. It never fails. So you'll have to excuse me if I set my expectations low. This way I won't be as disappointed when teams offer Porter and Dielman/Steinbach outrageous stacks of money that we can't come close to. It hapeens every freakin' year.

wow, we don't even have to wit till 12:02 for the pessimism to set in.

Let me be the first to say this; I'm not being to optimistic. I could care less if we sign a big name player, but I love the fact that we're players for some big name FAs. I love FA just to see ho goes where, and most importantly, it means we're closer to draft day.

Ask washington how they're annual spending has worked out.
