Wow. I LOVE what the Trifecta is doing...let’s recap:

1) Sign our Vets - Carey, Crowder, and Bell
2) Not overpaying - TJ Houshmandzadeh, Brown, Haynesworth, Goodman (even though I would have like to have signed Goody at the right price).
3) Some good quality FA signings - Wilson, Grove, Berger (depth)
4) Turning over some rocks - C. Wake signing (I have a feeling we got something there, and he just needs the opportunity)

I think not "keeping up with the Jones's" is a great move. Washington and the Jets just love to spend some $$$. For what more lackluster/overpaid players who end up doing nothing once there?

What is next:

1) 2nd Wave of Free Agency - signing 2nd tier players who fit our team/scheme. (i.e. vet WR to mentor, CB)
2) Draft - NT, CB, WR, LB, more depth for the line (LT, RT)

I think we need a BIG NT, in the make of a Wilfork, some mammoth beast. CB is also a big need in the Draft. 2 Positions I think we definitely will draft because we want stability for years to come. I don't think we will go WR for the 1st pick, but I do think we may take one with a 2nd (i.e. R. Barden, who fits the "Tuna Mold"). Don't be surprised if we trade our 1st Rd pick and move down in the draft (its a great position to trade out of). I think we could do some damage with some more 2nd round picks (there is A LOT of value there).

The Trifecta is getting HUNGRY players, who want to play for a winning organization. I LOVE the Grove signing; he has a real mean streak and IMHO is an upgrade over Satele. So what he came from the Raiders. To me that means he is even hungrier to win after that team and all of Al Davis's crap.

IN TRIFECTA WE TRUST...GO PHINS!!!!

I like the post but how do you not mention that we need a starting CB. Only one thing worries me right now with this team and that's the secondary(Well just the CB's). I've said in many other posts I'm sure the FO will get it taken care of, but it's still a major concern IMO.

Opps I knew I forgot something...I will add it. I was reading it over and was thinkn something was missing. Thanks.

still not completely sold on groves yet.. i have faith in the FO but im not gonna sit here and pretend im happy just because the fins signed someone.. half the people on here are like me and really know nothing of this guy (they just pretend they do).. but im sure the FO knows what they are doing..

I Kinda feel that about D. Thomas. He played for like 5 minutes in the 1st game of the season. I don't doubt the Trifecta has faith in this guy's ability. But, what has he proven?

I just hope he is as good as everyone says he is and he turns out to be a steal for a 7th rounder.

It has been a fantastic offseason! When you accomplish everything below in one season, that is a good offseason.

1. Solid bookend tackles
2. Solid offensive center
3. Solid Safeties
4. Improving the LB corp
5. More quality depth at offensive line
