WH will offer BIG $ to Pete Carroll which he in-turn will turn down. Dom Capers will be offered the job with Mueller staying on as GM. I'm starting to feel this is the way it will unfold.... thoughts????

Carroll might turn us down, but Capers won't be the head coach.

I kind of wanted Dom Capers from the beginning just because of the constant lack of consistency around here lately. It would be nice to do things in house. John Clayton said that we will need to offer $7 mil plus to land Carroll.

Where and when did you here that? I heard on ESPN that the LA times called Carroll's interview about WH's meeting with him as "questionable". Carroll, disturbed by the article calls the editor up and said the editor "could quote him on a stack of Bible's" that he would be back at USC next year. That does not sound like he's interested to me...unless he's Muslum...

I think they are leaning towards Cameron or Rivera but are continuing to interview anyone and everyone to get advice and be thorough until these teams are out of the playoffs.

Cameron and Rivera makes the most sense at this point. I can't see Carroll going this way. He can stay in S. Cal and maintain the monster of a program he resurrected. It is best to bring in new HC blood in the coaching ranks with guys that have the pedigree and achieved success as position coaches and / or coordinators. Former college coaches have not worked very well hasn't (jj saban).

With the recent rumors of M. Shottenhiemer / B. Billick / and B. Parcells all possibly being fired at season's end, it may be in our best interest to wait things out until we see all of our available options. I would like to add all three of those names to the 2007 head coaching search, but we can't do that until we know their future....

I'm very high on Carroll right now, but I have my doubts that he's sold on the idea of leaving USC at this time. Everything I hear / read leads me to beleive he'll be staying....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Yeah there's something to Singletary...
Carroll is staying at USC.... I think he really enjoys the college game... aka Saban.... and knows thats were he belongs.
Capers did not a produce a winning season in Houston... he just won't get the job as a headcoach with us

when i first heard that satan was gone i was pretty sure the dolphins were going to promote dom capers as the HC just because of a certain instinct id go by, but now not so much....not really certain who will get the job but still not feeling that its going to come from within the organization

i really would like to see ken wisenhunt be our new head coach and hire mike martz as an offensive coordinator. WHOS DOWN!!

I am not to sure on Capers, however I say let Mueller stay on and gat a chance to help build this team into SB contender.
