So this game is it. It will define the 2014 Miami Dolphins. Maybe even the fate of Joe Philbin and company.

We have no chance to win it, not with the LBs we're sending out against Brady and Gronk, not with these five guys we're trying to mask as an actual NFL offensive line. But where there's no hope, there's desperation.

Most of us want Philbin replaced, some of us want Tannehill replaced, there will always be lots of different opinions but this is the game where we need to stand up as one.

We need nothing short of a miracle today. Let's stand united in our desperation, let's support our Miami Dolphins, let's show them we're the ones willing them to pull it off. This is the season. Heck, I'm ready to go and kick some Patriot ass.

I think last week sort of "defined" this team.

We can play with New England, problem is, even if by some sort of miracle we pull off the upset today . . . the definition of the Miami Dolphins under Joe Philbin tells me not to expect us to win our final 2 games.

Either way I'll be pulling for them, the one thing I hate hearing fans clamor about is wanting to lose to get a better draft pick. Play it out man . . . it is what it is at this point may as well see this thing through.

This will get ugly. We'll come out flat and end up losing by 17-21 points. We'll abandon the run early and would have thrown 50 times if not for our defense inability to stop the Patriots methodical clock chewing drives. Less than 100 yds rushing as a team. Tannehill goes down 4 times. Offense turns it over twice. Phibin take at least one costly ill advised timeout. Coyle is severely out coached. Wallace has his due for drop, Hartline remains a ghost. Ect...

Cant wait.

Hey....I know this will be a tough task today. But it is the NFL, you never know what can happen.

I'm going to be watching the OL play and Dion Jordan on Gronk specifically to see how they do.

I might have to start drinking a bit earlier today though....just in case....

Thought last week was that game, fully expecting to not even show up here today, given this is a philbin coached team in a big spot

I'll be pulling for them, but I'm not expecting much. Maybe 30 years ago when Shula was coach we'd have a chance to win....but with Philbin....zero chance.

Expecting a sound 28-10 loss here today. I do not like seeing Miami lose, but at the very least it'll be another stake in Mr. .500's reign as head coach here. Bring in better.

We should have cleaned house last year instead of putting patches in place. Seattle did it a few years back, new coach and GM. I'd say clean house. We have a culture in place that says it's ok for Poucncy to party until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, and just a complete lack of focus in practice and training camp. Philbin defends poor play and the rest of the team picks up on that. Until you get buy in and dedication, the team won't be any better than .300-.500

Last week the season was on the line….at home, against a team with the same record and the team fell flat again. Two straight years.

We were favored to win that game. The D could not defend the forward pass last week. Against Denver they couldn't defend the run. We have a major breakdown in our signal callers and alignment. I have on confidence this staff is up to the task of getting it fixed.

So frustrating.

no confidence today outside of the weak "any given sunday" stance.

Yep. All of these "the season is on the line" posts are a day late and a dollar short. The season was on the line last week, at home, against a far more beatable opponent, and the Dolphins came up empty.

I just can't wait to see what the Philbin apologists say when we not only lose at NE, but also lose at least one of the final two as well.

I go in to this game with the mindset of not expecting to win, but at least getting to enjoy seeing an offense that has grown and is more exciting than anything I have seen in many years.

That way I don't jump off my balcony at halftime.....
