Here is my Win/Win proposal that will reverse the PR nightmare for Ross and start the turn around on this franchises fortunes.

After Ross hires the new GM, he needs to announce at the same press conference that he has decided to fully finance the modernization of Sun Life stadium (over the back room objections of the NFL). All 400 million that is required and he will not be asking the public to partner with him in financing it.

We get our homefield advantage back in the form of a modernized stadium with seats closer to the field as well as a canopy to hold the sound in (Think Seattle). So. Florida gets Superbowls again and Ross is no longer a pariah in So. Fla but indeed may even turn into a hero.

Makes sense, no?

 Gotta be fun spending $400,000,000 of someone else's money.

He's worth 4.4 billion dollars. He's pledged approximately a half billion to the University of Michigan. He's already committed over 200 mill to the project. What is 200 mill more? He can't take to the grave with him. Talk about a lasting legacy if he did what I propose. It would be a PR stroke of genius.

It would be cheaper to buy him a couple of politicians

Even if Ross shelled out his 400M which I doubt he would do, it wouldn't get us instant superbowls back in MIA, I believe they are booked 3 maybe 4 years in advanced for location. Stadium upgrades wouldn't bring home field back, winning solves that. The fanbase in Miami was slowly coming around when hit the ground 3-0 but by end of week 7 you could see the typical sunlife stadium look on tv =/ Many will say it's just poor location on part of the franchise with much to do there, I can see that but also, it's a shame that most of our seats are filled by afc east rival team fans when we play, soccer nuts pack that place so full, etc.. There isn't a win/win situation here for Ross. He took the approach of b-list stars rolling out the *orange carpet*, then tried the new logo new hype approach, while that gathered attention, it didn't do squat for the team on basis of on the field. Rather it be Ross, the new GM, the players, next owner, whoever.. the win/win situation is figuring out how to win on regular basis instead of 2 game win streak followed by 3 game losing streak on repeat cycle. Look at the standards in this day of the NFL.. Saints, Broncos, Pats, Seahawks, 49ers, and few other teams if they lose just 1 game it's viewed as omg the sky is falling and we need to get on track, where as Miami goes on 3-4 game losing streak and it's "here we go again"

I would rather just see a new stadium built back in the downtown area.

While I agree nothing cures more than winning, modernizing Sunlife with what is being proposed will help with the Home Field advantage based on canopy holding in the sound and moving the seats closer to the field and it will get So. Fla back into the Super Bowl rotation once every 4-5 years.

I'm not saying you're wrong, that would help but the problem with holding in sounds and closer seats is for awhile it will still look like our stadium has for the last decade sadly. To me it's just a perfect storm of location, being subpar product for so long, and well coverage of the team perception all mixed into one giant empty orange cluster. Can't let alone put in fanbase or the team or location because look at the browns, it cold be below 0, and they are 1-10, those fans show up day in and day out. It would be interesting if instead of bashing the team as the media does, if they gathered people to go about during game day and poll people why they rather not be at the game, given some will say money but it would be interesting to hear/see the results

I'm not sure why PR has so much to do with the product out on the field. I'm more of a ****ty product on the field = ****ty PR person myself. If bad PR caused teams to perform badly, then how did the Pats go 16-0 in 2007 during Spygate, or Pittsburgh make it to the Superbowl during multiple-rapistgate?

Cause and effect, the cause is the team sucking donkey balls on the field when it counts, the effect is bad PR.

Just saying that bad PR isn't causing this team to suck donkey balls on the field, this organization and the people within it are the cause of that. I personally wipe my ass with the opinions of the media, I couldn't care less what they print about Miami

I wasn't suggesting a direct correlation and I know winning cures all, however my proposal would still be a big win/win for Ross and Us. That stadium needs a an upgrade.

Home field advantage cuz of a new stadium? Lolz
