Why would brees sign with the saints??? they suck lol!!! Brees wants to win so thats why he will be a dolphin on sunday.

What player (other than Deion Sanders) has ever come out and stated they didn't care about winning and their decision would not be based solely on money?
When push comes to shove their agents will push them to sign the seemingly more lucrative deal.
I want Brees too, because he is a solid QB. However, he is not an overwhelming talent that you break the bank on.
If NO overpays him it will be a mistake and it will demonstrate why they will never be anything more than a perennial also ran.

brees will sign with the saints if they pay him more.. no matter how bad they are right now... they can only get better

i think we better pray on culpepper or hope for a miracle QB drop in the draft like rodgers last year

there are plenty of players that have signed with teams for less money to be in a better situation. if he chose to play in the armpit of the nfl than that's what he deserves. When all is said and done he will be a fin.

If Brees wants to win so bad, why is he even going to NO ?? This is not about winning, it's about MONEY...he's doing everything he can to drive his price up, which is fine except for his injury...I don't want to overpay for someone who might not return to where he was prior to the injury...

We have an Ace in the hole

We have SD QB coach Breese is really close with him.

Cnnsi

An agent within the league Thursday who has been hearing that Cowboys coach Bill Parcells is telling his former assistant, new Saints head coach Sean Payton, to go hard after San Diego free-agent quarterback Drew Brees. Parcells is said to be selling Payton on Brees as a much surer bet than drafting USC quarterback Matt Leinart with the No. 2 overall pick. Now wouldn't Brees to New Orleans shake up the draft's top five? Not to mention the Dolphins' hopes of landing themselves a starting quarterback upgrade?

Givens is said to already be a Brown. Just more speculation however.

And possibly make Vince Young even more drop downable?

I think Vince Young doesnt get passed the vikings.

LaVar Arrington is good and all, but he has the attitude that Saban doesnt like. Why not go for Will Witherspoon instead??

From espn.com...
Givens and taken away: The first weird free-agency report of the night came from Cleveland, when the team's Web site reportedly signed Patriots wide receiver David Givens and Ravens punter Dave Zastudil. The only problem was it wasn't true.
Now, Given's isn't even going to visit Cleveland. Givens will be in Miami Saturday and will go to the Houston Texans on Sunday. The price tag for Givens went up above where the Browns wanted to pay.
Givens' agent, Brad Blank, theorized that someone hacked into the Browns' computer, which is what accounted for the mistake.

If Brees ends up signing with the Saints, it will ultimately ruin his career in my opinion. He'll get buried there, and come to think of it, no QB has survived in New Orleans. Most of them become an afterthought within a year or two, and I see the same fate for Brees if he chooses to play for them....

They're not a franchise anyone considers "close", and if Brees cares anything about the words stability, legacy, and excellence, he'll leave the Saints offer on the table and move on to Miami....

PHINZ RULE!!!!
