john beck has the skill, and just needs to get adjusted formally..
"he shows nice touch on a perfectly placed ball that is thrown right into the bucket!"

chad henne and josh mccown both only made the throw once each.. john made it 4 times and even one that was perfect! i just dont see chad or josh as being great in this league.. if john beck would just settle down, relax, and get comfortable with creditable recievers and a solid offensive line i think we would have a real star on our hands.. dont give up yet.. i cant wait till saturday...
 
Yea i dont care who it is we just need a solid quaterback for years to come but ive only heard good things about beck theres no pressure rushing at him so hopefully he settles down and shows us why we chose him in the 2nd round.

Yes I feel the same way about Beck, but I do think we are all team players on this board and would just like to see one QB take the ranes (SP) and get us back to 70's dolphin football when noboby wanted to play us. Instead of the last few years when everyone is hoping we are on their schedule!:up:

I agree about John Beck finally settling in...but at the same rate I'm confused. You talk about not "giving up". Henne is a ROOKIE and won't make all the necessary passes just coming into his 1st season as an NFL player. Are you giving up on him already? Talk about stark contrast

John finally makes a good pass on a drill that involves no defenders and that makes him great?! Last time i checked on Sunday the QB doesn’t sit there unpressured and throws into inflatable barrels lol.

i agree w/u on this. listen, i was really hoping that Beck would emerge as the starter but i'm starting to realize that we probably have 2 qb who are better than him in camp...a rookie by the name of Henne and the vet McCown. last season when Beck started he looked nervous and it seemed like he just threw the ball up for grabs at times. just this morning i read a blog that said Beck has much more success moving out of the pocket and running bootlegs...this explains a lot...it shows that he has trouble seeing over the O-lineman and it confrms his play last season...about how it seemed that he just threw the ball up for grabs. Beck needs lanes so he can be successful. i don't think he will be the starter...it does not look good for him.

I just want someone to win the starting job and keep the starting job, not because the others are worse, but because our starter is talented and has what it takes to win at this level. I don't care if it's Henne, McCown or Beck.

Don’t know if he needs to do it everyday but at least with more consistency. Maybe 2-3 days he needs to shine. Up until this point I don’t know if there is more than 1 day that he flat out won, and that’s not good.
