This is why Jake Long has to be our guy...

i hope and pray we trade down and can still get jake long...

Lets see how he moves today at the combine. Its OL line to run and do drills. He threw up 225 37 times yesterday, leading all lineman. He's definitely a specimen.

really ? I didn't know he was THAT strong... IMO if we stay at #1 its either him or Dorsey/C.Long.... It won't be Dorsey unless they think he can play NT.... and do we really think C.Long could play OLB?? Ofcourse, all this is assuming we keep a 3-4 base D. ?????????? So Right now Jake Long makes the most sense to me. OT is #1 on my list of needs anyway. Just my 2 cents.

exactly,if there are questions on if Chris Long is gonig to play OLB in 3-4,then theres no reason to grab him there. There are plently of better OLB later in the draft,Shawn Crable of Michigan,Tavaras Gooden of Miami,Alex Highsmith of LSU, etc.,theres no reason to take a OLB #1 overall. We dont want to be the next Redskins in taking Lavaar Arrington(that was #2 overall),lookm how that turned out.It makes WAY mroe sense to take a Franchise Tackle, rather than a OLB,who is questionable at his play, some say he is one-demionsional,and thats too little for what big we'd give him(speakin of $35M)

Chris Long is a DE in the 3-4 and the 4-3 so he wouldnt need to play OLB

So far, Jake Long has the 2nd best unofficial 40 time among OL at 5.17. Jeff Otah ran a 5.56 unofficial 40.....

Guy has all the measureables you could want it seems, and his performance at Mich. speaks for itself-2 sacks and 2-3 penalties during his tenure only. Thats good stuff.

Guy is definately rising-wouldnt be shocked if the Rams took a hard look at him unless they are 100% convinced Pace is 100% and still has some good years.

Jake Long had the 9th best unofficial 40 time among OL at 5.17...FWIW

I'd still like to see how his shuttle times compared to some of the other OL.

Good golly...

Watching the Combine... the idea of Long is growing on me... he's a monster...
Does NOT look like an O'lineman at all. He's a beast.

Can't wait to see how this pans out.
